Even with all the extra use it still lasted longer than both my original and last extended battery did on a normal day.

I am quite pleased with the quality and battery life of this product. The Galaxy S2 Skyrocket is a great phone but the battery life was rather dismaying as I would watch the percentage of battery life drop before my eyes. The smartphone du jour is thinner, more powerful and speedier data transfers, but at the cost of battery life. A 4G LTE phone uses a lot more energy than 3G and the AMOLED+ screen uses 3x the amount of energy than a standard IPS LCD when displaying white (e.g. google, most websites and documents).

This battery makes my phone the power device it was meant to be and you can enjoy a brighter display and live wallpapers and no need to throttle down the processor speed. Each charge has increased the reserve and I understand it takes about 5 to 6 charges to reach maximum potential after an extended charge of 2-3 hours after 100%. It does make the phone thicker by half a centimeter but thankfully I already had a large holster case that accommodates it perfectly. I like the rubbery grip of the back plate as opposed to the original slippery plastic sheath. The back plate stays put and the battery remains securely in place and it looks well integrated into the phone design. It feels substantial and secure in my hand and the thinner form factor felt awkward and ready to drop to the ground.

So far, it seems this battery has doubled the usage time as advertised and now it is the android phone to have. I left my iPhone 4 behind and this addition has made my withdrawal from the Apple empire permanent. If you don't mind the thickness and a somewhat higher price for a battery kit, then you should consider it.

Update: The battery was at 100% on Saturday morning and on Monday morning it was down to 30%.

I've had my Skyrocket for a couple of months now; and, although I love the phone, I have to admit that the battery life has been a bit of a headache compared to what I was used to. I spend a lot of time talking on my cell phone during the day and I was having to leave it attached to a charger every time I sat down at the desk.

It didn't take long before I realized that plugging it in all day long wasn't going to be a long-term solution...

Some other options I considered were:

- Getting a Portable Mat with Powercube. The problem here is that it basically boils down to plugging the phone in - not much better than I was already doing...

- Getting a PowerSkin Recharging Case. This seems like a better solution than the Powermat with a Powercube - but the cases themselves are extremely bulky.

Anyway, I finally settled on this extended battery, and I'm very glad I did! It does add some bulk to the phone, but it isn't really that bad at all. It also makes it easier to grip since the new back plate has more of a rubberized texture.

I'm not much of a "phone case" guy anyway, so not being able to use a case doesn't bother me in the least.

As far as battery life goes, I'm now getting through the day with battery life to spare - which was the whole point. I can talk for several hours, use the phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot, etc..., and I still haven't run this battery down.

The only problem I've had that is a bit irritating is that it will stick at 100% sometimes.

I bought the Qcell and this battery at the same time and tried them out this week for Samsung Skyrocket ATT. I used the Qcell first for three days then the seidio. The seidio wins hands down. At the end of a typical work day, my OEM battery would be 20% in max conservation mode. the Qcell would be about 35 and the Seidio was 53% today. In addition, the back cover for the Seidio is of better quality. The Qcell battery cover cracked when I took it off the first time. However the seidio cover will also work with the Qcell. So now my plan is to go primarily with Seidio and keep the charged Qcell as backup on the go.

Had this product for 1 day now. Took it through the ringer on usage and held up extremely well compared to my standard battery and a power skin. The pictures of additional size do it an injustice, it still leaves it very sleek but 1/3 the size compared to a power skin. In term s of getting a good battery meter, download a widget that you can click on occasionally. Totally look forward to having this battery for the next 24 months until the Samsung Galaxy Skyrocket S13 or 14 come out :).

Only con - it limits you to one of two options for a case - a large hip holster or their other $20 dollar plastic case that works with the phone. i.e. just dropped $90 on a case/holster/battery combo for a $199 phone :(.

I bought this battery mainly so my phone wouldn't die so quick after tethering. My stock battery also had gotten to the point where it would be dead after 8 hours. I got this battery in and read that it would take about 5-6 charges to get to its full potential. After 5-6 charges this battery was still getting down to around 30% after about 6 hours. I was worried that I had wasted my money even though it was still a little better than my stock battery. I decided to hold off on my review for a little while. I am writing it now, because two days ago when I took it off the charger at work at 5:45 p.m. it was 100% and then about 2 hours later it was only down to 97%. So, I started thinking "Hey! I wonder if it has reached full potential?" Come 12:45 p.m. the next day, it was only down to about 50%. So, it took about 19 hours to go down 50% when just a few days earlier it would take just 3-4 hours to go down 50%. Since then it has stayed the same way! This thing is lasting forever. I only put it on the charger once a day now, compared to 3-5 a days. I hope it stays this way. I will update if anything changes.
