I have the curve 8330 and the original battery gave me not much more than a day without a charge. I lock the keypad and don't know if maybe the keypad would display that it was locked when bumped, but that would be the case for any user. My use was average, but I sent text msgs and watched the occasional video and read email. I kept the backlighting to a minimum and did not make too many calls.
So, when I got this and added it with the new back, which I am glad they provide or it would not work. This battery should be the standard one. I went on a weekend stay at the Biloxi Hard Rock Casino and stayed from Saturday till Tuesday and still had enough power left till I charged it Tuesday night. Well worth the money if you can't always leave the phone on a charge every night. I still do not know why they don't make a Solar cell for these phones, but for now this is a reliable source of power for more days than the original.

I upgraded the OS on my Blackberry Curve 8320 and noticed a sudden incredible battery drain. Not good for a gadget addict like myself.

Instead of spending hundreds to buy the newest model Blackberry, I searched around for an extended battery. This seemed to be the way to go.

Pros:
The battery arrived quickly. It charged beautifully and held the charge very well. I was truly impressed! Even the size of the battery wasn't anything unsettling. I got used to holding it without a problem and it even fit in my leather holder without a problem. Great stuff!

Cons:
The battery door was defective. It would not stay latched. It was warped and didn't fit right so I was either losing the door or losing connectivity. You really do need a door that fits properly.

That's it for the review on the extended battery. I had to return the defective battery door in order for the seller to ship a replacement. That doesn't make much sense because it's a $1.50 piece of plastic and you can't do anything with the battery unless you've got the door. So, I returned the whole order. I didn't get refunded for the cost of shipping and handling on a defective piece, but lesson learned! I will certainly purchase this again, but directly from the manufacturer this time.

Bottom line - definitely get the extended battery but be sure to check out the seller carefully.

I ordered this battery thinking I should get about twice the talk time and standby time of the standard battery. I am on the phone alomst all day and the standard battery needs charging near the end of the day.
This 2600ma battery only gives me about an hour more of talk time and about 4 hours of standby time. With the cost being about 4 times as much as a standard battery the value is not there for me. With this info I would replace an old battery with 2 standard batteries.
Otherwise the new back cover fits well. The added depth has not been an issue and the coating on the new cover is not slippery so holding on to the phone is easy.
Be interested if anybody has other result. Maybe I got an old battery?

This product delivers. I followed the instructions doing a full charge before using. I can listen to mp3's all day while talking, texting, sms'ing, e-mailing, and browsing and I still have power left at the end of the day. The original battery would die by 5pm with that kind of usage. It is important to allow the battery to run into the red before recharging (if you can). As with any re-chargeable battery its power increases during the first 5 or 6 charges (this is stated on the product packaging label). I ordered on a Saturday and it was in my mail box on Tuesday. I had to purchase a new case (10 dollar Case Logic made for a palm treo). I actually like the thicker feel with the new back. Somehow it also improves the volume, don't know how but it is an added plus for me. I would strongly recommend this to anyone who needs the extra battery life.

I recently switched my primary phone line over to a BlackBerry Curve from a disposable Samsung phone, and ordered this battery right away. One night at work I severely abused my curve with high data usage and bluetooth. It still lasted a total of about 12 hours before the BlackBerry shut down completely.

The long life of this battery has been very helpful as I travel a great deal and can be on the phone for long periods of time.

This worked well for me. Under "insurance" I had to pay $50 for a replacement phone, so for about the same I got a stronger battery. I did not have any problems, it was a little chunkier, but I got used to that as well. I no longer use this phone, but have it as a back up.

The original battery and original replacements wouldn't hold up for more than a day. This one lasts for a week to 10 days. On top of that it only takes a couple of hours to charge. Definitely worth the money!

Excellent product. Dramatically extends the usable life of the device without having to recharge. Can frequently go 3 days or longer.

I was only getting about 24 hours on the battery that comes with the Blackberry 8330 (Curve). It was a huge hassle with all the logistics of ensuring my battery was hooked up to a charger wether in office or car - and made it harder to actually use the phone (having to find it, unplug it, answer call, etc).

With this extended battery, I get about 4 to 5 days between charges. Fantastic! The only problem is finding a holster to fit it. Most of the expanding clip-on holsters advertised are still not big enough. You will have to continuously lock your keyboard before putting it in the holster. I suggest you find one of the clip-on holsters and turn the blackberry face-in to the holster.
