This product works well with iPhones with or without cases. With the removable plate intact, the iPhone 4/4S without a case will fit snugly. If you have any kind of case on your phone, even the very slim I-Skin case I have on my iPhone 4S, you will need to remove the plastic plate. No problem. The plate is easy to remove and without the plate the charging cradle should accommodate pretty much any case. The cradle is nice looking and has a nice weight. There is a little LED power light on the back side, which is fine, because I wouldn't want the light in my face as I'm lying in bed. Comes with two charging cables, one for the wall socket and one for your PC, so you have the flexibility of using the cradle where ever you want.

Tried several upright charger/sync solutions before finding this one that could hold my phone with the Apple bumper case. My stand came with 1 adapter plate although the description says it comes with "adapter plates". Besides the power supply with the micro USB connector I also received a USB to micro USB cable not mentioned in the product description.
Some stands severely muffle the sound when holding the phone. This base has enough area under the phone to allow the sound from the bottom mounted speaker to get out. No attenuation on a 4S with bumper case and adapter plate removed. A little attenuation without a case and the adapter plate installed.
I like the LED mounted on the back. Just enough light to find the stand at night and much of the light is obscured when the phone is in the stand.
The base feels very solid and does not look cheap.

This cradle fits my white iPhone 4, my ipod touch, and my wife's iPhone 3G. In addition, it fits the iPhone 4 with a thin case on it, which is really convenient. Easy plug and play, no issues with USB connection to PC and itunes.
The only negative I see is that the "on" light is located on the BACK of the cradle, which you can't see - weird.

Worked for a month

Jan to April worked...not anymore
For the price, I expected to use the phone cradle for a few years. Not only 4 months. I would say I am very disappointed by the life of the product.

Works fine, but ...
This stand charges my iPhone 4s just fine. My only issue with it is that the iPhone complains that "Charging is not supported with this accessory." BUT IT DOES CHARGE.

Dock is sturdy. The charger wire is cheap.

doesn't work with 4S either with our without case.
