Poor design,

Poor quality product. The battery life is longer, however, either the fit is off, or there is a defect in the battery design. When sliding the phone shut, it will sometimes lose power and shut off completely. At first, I thought it was my phone, but when I put the factory battery in, the issue went away completely. Assuming it was just a bad battery, I exchanged it for a new one with Amazon, however, it too does the same thing. If you can deal with potentially losing whatever you're doing when you close the phone, it does last longer, but I'd probably advise to stay away from this product. It's just not worth it, and who knows what will go wrong next.

This battery is great. It's 1350mah so it's about 17% larger than the stock 1150mah battery; yet it's the same size.
Seidio fixed the shut down issue by making the new batteries slightly larger than stock. No shut off problems on my Pre; even if I try. As far as performance goes this battery will give you a few more hours compared to stock. For heavy users I'd recommend the 2600mah Seidio battery with the larger back cover. Poor Battery Design - Phone Keeps Shutting Off,

The battery has a similar design to the original batch of OEM Palm Batteries w/ Origin in Japan; the battery has loose contacts with the phone. As a result, every time you slide the phone shut, the phone will turn off.
FYI: The newer OEM Palm Batteries w/ Origin in Korea work perfectly. Hopefully the newer Seido batteries will correct this problem.
