Poor quality product. The battery life is longer, however, either the fit is off, or there is a defect in the battery design. When sliding the phone shut, it will sometimes lose power and shut off completely. At first, I thought it was my phone, but when I put the factory battery in, the issue went away completely. Assuming it was just a bad battery, I exchanged it for a new one with Amazon, however, it too does the same thing. If you can deal with potentially losing whatever you're doing when you close the phone, it does last longer, but I'd probably advise to stay away from this product. It's just not worth it, and who knows what will go wrong next.

This battery is great. It's 1350mah so it's about 17% larger than the stock 1150mah battery; yet it's the same size.

Seidio fixed the shut down issue by making the new batteries slightly larger than stock. No shut off problems on my Pre; even if I try.

As far as performance goes this battery will give you a few more hours compared to stock. For heavy users I'd recommend the 2600mah Seidio battery with the larger back cover. Seidio Innocell Battery for Palm Pre (Black)

The battery has a similar design to the original batch of OEM Palm Batteries w/ Origin in Japan; the battery has loose contacts with the phone. As a result, every time you slide the phone shut, the phone will turn off.

FYI: The newer OEM Palm Batteries w/ Origin in Korea work perfectly. Hopefully the newer Seido batteries will correct this problem.

This battery makes it possible to go 10 or 12 hours without a charge, while making calls & checking email. Absolutely essential!

Product performs has stated. I noticed a difference after the first charging of the battery. My Palm Pre did not have enough battery power to last a whole day, now It last all day with some left over.

Because the battery-life was so short, I first purchased a second battery from Palm along with a stand-alone charger. That way I would have a full battery when the one being used ran out in a few hours. Now, since I purchased the Seido battery, I have not needed to replace the battery. This one lasts all day.

Great product. Should come with the Pre.

Works as advertised. Longer battery life over standard Palm Pre battery - usually lasts all day for me (moderate/heavy usage of email & internet).

I would have no qualms if this was just sold as a spare battery for the pre, but selling it as "extended life" borders on misrepresentation. I am a heavy user, so I bought this battery and the desktop charger. This way I can charge the phone and spare battery at the same time. When I leave in the morning I have one battery in my phone and the other in my briefcase. By noon I'm swapping batteries because one is dead. I didn't see any difference between OEM and this battery, if anything this seems to die sooner (10:30- 11 a.m. ) when OEM would usually take me to noon with my usage (lots of calls, MP3).

The reports on this battery said it got better with repeated usage after 5 days or so, I was very hopeful and kept waiting for the improvement and didn't see it. If you're looking for something to truly extend your battery life noticably longer, I think based on the Pre posts online we'll need to spend about $60 which is what I"m doing now. Very disappointed that I got this one first.

I've had no issues since installing and charging this battery up. I noticed the extra battery early on and it seems like it's been getting better with every charge (I assume it will stop around 17-20% boost as other people have noted on-line). If you use your pre more than the average user pick this up! If you never put your pre down you may want to skip this and go directly to Seidio Innocell Battery for Palm Pre (Black) assuming you do not have an expensive case or use the touchstone -- not sure if the special Seidio back works with the touchstone.

Not much of a difference from the stock battery, which can be purchased for $3 here on Amazon. This battery definitely isn't worth $40+
