The level of frustration I experience directly effects my rating. Had I chose to use this product in a spare wall socket, say in a spare bedroom, I probably would have been fine. I however wanted to use it next to my computer where I use my phone so I chose USB. The following were my problems.
1) The manufacturer does not include the USB cable, which they state. However the manufacturer does not state what kind you need. Since I'm not up on cable lingo I spent 2 days going to various websites trying to find one with detailed pictures so I could figure out what to order. For those interested you need a male-a/male-a usb cable.
2) Then you have the frustration of finding one that is not 15 ft long. I wanted a black 1ft male-a/male-a. Amazon actually sells one through a third-party, but good luck in getting it to come up in a search. You will have to use your eyeballs for quite some time. After you find it and realize it is through a third-party, you will have to go to their website to order it if you want a specific carrier such as UPS.
3) Once the cable finally arrives you realize that the functionality advertised is only applicable if you use a wall socket. If you use USB it will only charge a spare battery and not your phone. If you should choose to buy this keep in mind that you will need a spare USB socket on your hub because you will have to charge your phone and battery separately.
