You may pick this up like a flash light,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Seiko Advanced Technology Travel Alarm Clock Silver-Tone Metallic Case (Watch)
This is the second Seiko alarm of its type I have purchased. The other is the rectangualar alam, which my lovely oldest daughter appropriated after sleeping thru her alarm. Instead of replacing, I bought this. A few points, forgive if redundant with other reviews: the shape, flashlight like in my opinion, makes it easy to pick up in the dark. Second, the flashlight, may be set to automatic, so when lifted the light lights. It's a blue like the dashboard on some late modelled cars and easy on sleepy eyes. The radio signal clock works in all parts of the bedroom and I live in a dish of land, not at the top of the hill, so radio reception requires a pretty strong antenna generally. No problem since purchase in October. The time is accurate when compared to similar radio controlled timepieces I own. The alarm has a rising cadence and also provides a "hit it at the top" five minute snooze button. I really like this and my second daughter shall not have permission to borrow.

Don't rely on the automatic time zone adjustment feature,
This review is from: Seiko Advanced Technology Travel Alarm Clock Silver-Tone Metallic Case (Watch)
This clock works very well as an alarm clock, but do not buy it if you think that whenever you travel to a new time zone, it will automatically adjust. The auto adjustment "wave" basically only works about 50% of the time. In other words, you arrive in Singapore, push the button, and guess what? It keeps it at the old time zone. So you put it near the window, push the button again, same. Etc. That would be bad enough, but every once in a while, it adjusts when you do not want it to! It has happened to me several times where I set the alarm, and in the middle of the night, it set the time back by one hour (it does beep when that happens but if you sleep through the beep or are in another room, you don't realize it) so I woke up one hour later! To work around this, I turn off the "radio control" when I know I am going to be in a time zone for a while and it has adjusted correctly. So, to sum up, you are NOT going to buy a reliable time-zone-switching clock when you get this. The other features mentioned (flashlight, snooze, etc.) are good but I would hold out for something more reliable. I am sure there are scientific explanations (building blocking the signal etc.) but I don't care about that, I just want it to work, as am I sure most business travelers would.

Easy to Use,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Seiko Advanced Technology Travel Alarm Clock Silver-Tone Metallic Case (Watch)
This alarm is easy to set up and to use. Some atomic clocks are difficult to use but Seiko makes it easy to use this one. The alarm is loud enough to wake you and the flashlight is very handy.
