Good watch/ Kinetic Auto Relay stopped working,

I have had this watch for about 8 years. I really liked the fact that I could leave the watch alone for months at a time and with a shake it would come back to life, with the exception of the date. This is a great feature for someone that has more then one watch and does not wear it every day. Initially I paid about $650 at Macy's for this watch. Recently the auto kinetic feature stopped working. That is a real bummer since now I have to shake the watch for about 5 minutes to bring it back to life and have to reset the time and date. This is a good looking watch that I can wear with silver or gold since it has both colors in it. I would give it a 5/5 if the auto kinetic still worked.

I bought this watch in 1999 and have been using it ever since. I love the fact that I do not have to replace any batteries. The auto relay feature is awesome. I've left the watch on my dresser and picked it up weeks later and with just a shake, the watch automatically sets the current time. If you know that you will not be using for a while, you can put the watch in a "sleep" mode until ready to be worn. I only have to adjust the date. The watch has a good heavy feel to it. The crystal does stick out and it can be scratched. For the current price, it's a great deal for a very good watch.

Flawless except for the crystal . . .,

Worn continuously since Xmas 2002. Keeps flawless time. But the convex crystal is of mineral glass, and thus is subject to being scratched more than any flat-crystal watch I've ever owned. A flat, SAPPHIRE replacement crystal in 2009 - convex sapphire not available - solved this issue for me. I love this watch and it now always looks great!
