Amazing watch, January 13, 2012

To begin with, I own Oris for last two decades. I never though I wear another watch until my Oris watch started to have few minor mechanical problem. Hence I decided to try something else, my budget was not set for high end watch, at the same time I wanted a watch with low maintenance and accuracy. The build quality is also very important to me, I have to admit the look is also comes to play. After spending few weeks/months, I locked on Seiko as alternative to my Oris watch, and among them I decided on Sportura class. Once I started to dive in to detail, I noticed this watch. This is Seiko high end Sportura watch with Direct Drive capability. I was not interested in Direct Drive future, however it is indication of build quality offered with this series. I also like the real time power indicator. So I decided to look for a deal, after spending few weeks, I fund a nice deal for almost brand new watch which came with leather band and Solid Stainless Steel Bracelet! The discount was around 20% less than the least price on line, I went ahead and order it. The watch came with all the papers and original box without any sign of use! What a deal - right away I was impressed with its build quality, and its looks. The watch fit nicely on my wrist. After the end of the first week, I was concern about its rechargeable battery condition as the power indicator only moved half way up between a day and a week. After the second week the indicator just reached a week. I was about to send it to Seiko for checkup, however the dealer told me to hang on for another week, and sure he was right. Now I have had the watch for about two months, the indicator is over a month (at maximum and it stay there), the watch accuracy is amazing, as it has not lag or advance not even by a second! The watch looks and feel amazing and three year warranty gives a nice feeling from manufacturer. This watch is a keeper for me as I am not a watch collector, and I plan to wear it for next two decades, assuming I am still around :)
