This watch is absolutely gorgeous. I purchased it for my fiance on his 25th birthday and he loves it. It is manly and sophisticated and looks like other brands that are much more expensive. And, in my opinion, Japanese movement is very comparable in quality to Swiss movement. As well, Amazon shipped it promptly and safely; a layer of bubble wrap coated the blue Seiko box. Very nice product.

Like other reviewers have stated this a beautiful watch! Picture doesn't do it justice. When I purchased it the price was $137.00 but it's still a great buy at the present price of $200.00! So far the watch is very accurate and, as always, the buying experience through Amazon was first rate!

I bought this watch else where but would like to share my thoughts on it. I came from a cheap Fossil watch and decided to hunt for a new one. My criteria was a reputable watch, swimming water resistance, masculine, design, quartz, sapphire crystal, all under 150$. And here it is! Definitely a beautiful watch.

First the likes:

It looks elegant, classy and is very thin. It looks a lot better than what the picture displays. It's actually much darker in color, and so the gold doesn't stand out that noticeably and blends in just right. Also, you can't tell from the picture but the outer ring of the display is a glossy finish! It is very easy to get finger prints on it but it shimmers so beautifully under light, so I need to get used to cleaning every now and then :P

It is Seiko, a Japanese brand that you can trust and whose been around for years and know what they are doing.

Also, on the specifications, it says that the surface is Hardlex (equivalent to mineral crystal that IS scratch-able) however, this watch is NOT hardlex, it is the stronger, Sapphire Crystal. Definitely scratch resistant and very cheap for the price!

Dislikes:

What I dislike about it is that the design of the band makes it look a lot thinner (width-wise) than what the picture looks like, so make sure you do your measurements if you're into that detail. I just wish it was 1mm wider so it would look even more masculine.

I really, really wished that it had the extra safety clasp when putting the watch on. This watch is held only by the two pinchers to open/close the watch, but because it is Seiko, I will trust them that this is secure enough..

I bought this for my husband for our first anniversary/Valentine's Day Present. I am so pleased with it and absolutely can't wait to give it to him! The shipping was great and the watch arrived way before I thought that it would!

This is a beautiful watch. I have worn Seiko watches for over 30 years and this is the most beautiful yet.

This is an outstanding watch. It looks phenomenal. I was looking for a watch for my father and went through the entire Seiko collection. I like it much better than the chronograph versions of it. It's classic, elegant, yet simple to read and operate. My father loved it. Also, to buy a Seiko Coutura watch like this for under $200 was a steal. It was a great purchase and I'd do it again.

Happy with the watch at a great price. Band had to be adjusted however. Needed a jeweler to do that. Otherwise, looks and feels great.
