It features a large, round silver stainless steel watch case with a slightly raised gold-tone bezel. The gray dial background is highlighted by gold stick dial markers, small minute indexes that surround the outer dial, and gold luminous hands (with second hand). It's further accented by a supple, deep brown leather band with gold-tone buckle. Other features include Japanese quartz movement, day/date function at 3 o'clock, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and water resistance to 30 meters (99 feet).

Seiko makes good watches, and this one is no exception. It's design is classic, non-fussy and handsome. The two-tone watch will work well with any other jewelry and keeps great time. I found the fact that the date window shows both day and date to be a nice touch, as opposed to simply displaying the date alone. The watch is easy to read and to operate. Two things that a prospective purchaser might want to know are that the face of the watch is not white, but rather a pale steel gray, and that the band is a standard length for a man's watch (as mentoned in the description), so those with larger wrists might have to purchase a replacement band. Still, this is a good watch at a good price and well worth investing in a replacement band, if that should be the case.

Five stars for Basic Quazt Watch. Less stars if ask for more.

Appearance: To me it looks very nice. Chrome case, Gold Bezel with simple industrial design touch, Lizard like brown band,Proper Size, make the appearance combination, really blend in and look first clase.

Reliable: Extreme accurate benchmark to Atomic clock sync in Cell Phone many time in past years. Since I like it so much and know its performance, this is the second watch I buy for a spare.

Less stars if you expect: Perpetual, Alarm, Atomic sync, (any multi-function found in Casio or alike)

I bought my first Seiko in 1999. I am very hard on wrist watches and yet this watch put up with a lot of abuse due to landscaping and remodeling. After 12 years of this type of work the watch simply became damaged beyond inexpensive repair. When it was time to be replaced it was a very easy decision on what I wanted and needed in a new watch. So I bought the exact watch that had served me so well for the past decade. As I searched for the replacement I found Amazon had the product at the best price. Being an Amazon customer in the past made the purchase easy.
