Light, comfortable watch, hard to adjust band, wierd calendar
on April 13, 2013
When I recieved this watch I thought it was so light that it felt cheap, but it is comfortable and I am glad it is not so heavy, an upside of titanium. The bracelet is made with folded links, not solid titanium, I assume because that would double the cost of the watch. The removable links are held together with an L-shaped piece of metal called a spring bar, which is really hard to remove without a special tool. I am pretty handy but resizing the braclet was a pain.
I chose the titanium band because I was hoping for better scratch-resistance than stainless steel. However, the titanium scratches just as easily as my last watch, which was stainless steel. I have yet to scratch the crystal so it must be pretty good. The face looks black unless you hold it in bright light, then it's dark blue.
The movement works well and seems to stay right on time.
The calendar days read SUN, DOM, MON, LUN, TUES, MAR, WED, MIE, THUR, JUE, FRI, VIE, SAT, SAB, and I can't figure out how to set it to show the spanish days when I'm asleep. Any advice is appreciated.
