Designed for diving, this kinetic watch from Seiko offers bold sporty styling and technological excellence. The 45 mm brushed and polished steel case showcases a black dial with large luminous hands (including a seconds hand), bold luminous markers, and a date display. The dial is capped with a scratch-resistant Hardlex crystal and framed by a unidirectional rotating bezel with engraved minute markers, for safe timing of dives and other limited events. The low-profile, no-snag design of the bezel creates a sleek look, for great style both in and out of the water. The watch presents on a soft and durable black rubber strap. Because it's powered by the natural motion of your wrist, this Seiko watch never requires a battery change. It captures and stores energy for up to six months and features a power reserve indicator that shows precisely how much energy you've created. Other notable features of the watch include a screw-down crown, situated on the left side of the case, that's designed specifically for diving, and a water resistance rating of 200 meters.

About Seiko
In 1877, at the age of 18, Kintaro Hattori set up business repairing the Western-style clocks that were becoming increasingly popular in Japan. By 1892, Hattori was manufacturing his own clocks in a factory he called Seikosha, from the words "seiko" meaning "exquisite," "success," or "miniature," and "sha" meaning "house." I know the left-handed nature of this watch has more to do with diving, but for someone who has had to remove his watch for years to set it, this watch is great! Excellent construction, with a nice mix or refinement and ruggedness. Others have noted that the watch is big and heavy. True, however if you bang into things as often as I do (being a clumsy lefty) you'll love it.

I have owned this watch for the past several years and cannot say enough good about it. Its apperance is super and its accuracy it beyond belief (within one to two seconds over a month). I am accustomed to large watchs (I have an Omega Seamaster from the 70's that I used for over 25 years) so its size is exactly right as far as I am concerned. I admit that now that I dive a computer I no longer need my watch underwater; however, I am not comfortable wearing any other type of watch.

It seems to me to be the perfect all round watch.

This watch is awesome and the fact it needs no tending to for batteries is a definite plus. The watch is stylish and does not have too much flash or the flimsy feeling of just any watch. This watch is good for just lounging around, everyday use, or those rare, casual, or formal dress occasions. Would recommend this watch to anyone.
