When you buy a Seiko timepiece, you don't really have to worry about it working properly and keeping good time -- so really, it's just a question of finding one that appeals to your eye. And to me, this watch is close to perfect. The round, off-white face and Roman numerals are a joy to look at. Elegant and understated, this watch's style is timeless. The band is also beautiful, even nicer than it appears in Amazon's product photos, and very comfortable on my wrist. If this watch appeals to you, I can't recommend it highly enough.

A word of warning: the numerals on this watch are navy blue, NOT BLACK as they appear (at least to me) in the photos. I was surprised by this, but not bothered; you, however, may feel differently.

This is a fine watch. I've gotten plenty of compliments. Runs great, easy to set, easy to wear. The quality of the arm band is exceptional. Very pleased with the price for the quality of the instrument. Can be worn casually or for formal events.

My 88-year-old father hinted that he needed a new watch for his birthday, and preferred one with roman numerals. Since my circa 1983 Seiko still looks and runs fine, it didn't take me long to select this one for him. Dad says it's "perfect." It's thin, light, elegant looking, and keeps perfect time so far. The only slightly negative thing is that the calendar number is very small, and pushed right up against the number III. But my Dad doesn't seem to mind. An excellent timepiece for the price.

Two years later. Good as new. Still looks sharp and keeps great time. Great value

The product is just as advertised. Elegant, classy, yet affordable.

The leather band is slightly stiff. And the watch makes a muted ticking sound, although there is no seconds hand on the dial.

I absolutely love this watch. Like the title suggests it's classy timeless and elegant.

A word of warning though, this is a very tiny watch. I have very tiny wrists (5'8 140lb) and it's almost too tiny on me. With that being said, don't let that scare you off. If you have huge forearms I would NOT suggest this watch but if you're skinny this piece is a must have.

The watch arrived right away. My husband was quite happy with the band and the watch itself. He bought this to replace a similar watch he had lost. Seiko watches work like "clock work" in his opinion.

We saw the same watch in a jewelry store for about $70.00 more. The quality of the watch is great as well as the price of the watch. The watch arrived from the shipper before the arrival date posted. I would recommend this watch as well as the shipper. Great deal! Best of all my husband loves it.!

I got it for my BF. The watch is a classic.
It fits good and comfortable on the wrist.
If you are wondering to choose a watch for your BF or husband, you won't go wrong with this watch.

Bought this watch about two months ago as a late birthday present to myself. I like its simple elegant and classy look. I specificaly wanted the watch with date only (to have less problems with re-settings) and with as clear face as possible. In addition, I have rather feminine wrists so a 34-mm case diameter is just right for me.
In all my prior watches the batteries usually lasted about two years. But this Seiko watch, according to the Instructions pamphlet, supposed to run for about 5 years before the battery dies. By the way, I did not even pay attention to the fact that the case and besel of this watch made of brass. Have no idea if it is good or not, I mean if stainless steel case makes the watch any better than brass one. Bottom line, it is a very good watch.
