The first thing I noticed on this watch was the non-rotating bezel. (Why put one on a watch if it doesn't rotate?) It states in the item description that it is "unidirectional" for time-lapse use. On reading the manual for this watch it also states that the crown is "screw-down" to maintain water-resistant functionality. The crown actually rotates free on this model.
Also in the stop-watch mode the way it operates can be very confusing. In my eyes this watch definitely does not come up to the usual Seiko brand quality. It seems that this is more of a theme in recent years. A Seiko watch used to be one of the best watches you could buy, maybe those days are gone.

The watch itself looks nice, however, its functionality is marginal at best. The biggest issue I have with the watch is that the knob that is used to set the date and time constantly gets pulled out somehow. This results in the watch stopping and thus not telling the correct time. It seems that this problem is getting increasingly worse as I am now having to reset the watch at least once a day. It may be just an issue with my watch in particular but I find it very frustrating. I would not buy this one again.

Eh, if I was able to do it over, I probably wouldn't have purchased this watch. the strap broke already. Granted I'm an active person and I shouldn't have got this watch, but the band still broke. The crown pops out easily thus loosing accurate time. Its a basic watch and It looks good and its a Seiko, so its not all that bad. I'm just kinda salty the band broke. I have other Seiko's that have stood the test of time, the band on this one didn't. The watch itself is still working though.

Now that I've had the watch for a month and a half, the hands can be very difficult to see in certain lighting, and I also experienced the problem that most appear to be having, the crown would pop out on its own and the watch would stop keeping time. Then, just last weekend, the crown just fell off - totally came out of the body of the watch. I happened to see something on my floor, picked it up and realized that it was the crown of my watch. I will now have the pleasure of trying to get warranty service, since it's too late to return...

    Would definitely not purchase again.

Update: I've now had the watch for 8 months. As mentioned above, I returned the watch for warranty work to have the crown reinstalled. Since the watch was returned, everything has been great, until the past week. Now, after 8 months, the watch is losing time. I re-set the watch at this time yesterday, and it's now almost half an hour behind. That's crazy if I need to replace the battery after 8 months. Hopefully that's all it is...

It looks like Amazon finally changed these watch descriptions from rotating bezel to fixed bezel. A small deal, but why have time markings on a bezel that can't be rotated to measure elapsed time. Decoration, perhaps?

That said, I would agree that this watch has both sub dials and main hands that are hard to see in direct sunlight. Also the band is extremely lightweight in comparison to the watch case, which may seem unbalanced on one's wrist.

I ordered this watch for its nice look, it was a Seiko, and it seemed like a great price as it was one of Amazon's lightning deals. The watch itself is pretty nice for an inexpensive Seiko. It looked great and had a nice weight to it. The bracelet however felt very light and cheap, like it belongs on a $20 watch. It also has sharp edges and the links would catch and pull my arm hair as it moved around on my wrist. I wore this for about a minute before I decided to return it.

My husband loved the watch but main knob to set time fell out in about 45 days after purchase. My husband is a salesman so not hard or abusive on it. Nice looking watch but quality is not up to par. To add to our frustration, it is not eligible for return after 30 days.

Junk. Pure junk. The crown is loose and pops out (this is the second Seiko that I bought which has this happen) stopping the watch so the time will be off. The hand on the stopwatch complications stuck after 1 or 2 uses. I sent the watch back to Amazon and got a replacement. Again, the crown pops out and the complications froze but it is now too late to return. I can send it back to Seiko but since it was so cheap on the Amazon Daily Deal it probably isn't worth the effort. It's Junk. Pure junk. No more Seiko watches for me. I'm giving Citizen a shot now.
