While I am quite delighted with this purchase, as the watch is very well made and looks great, the readability of the watch is not immediate. I suspect my eyes will adjust to the watch over time to allow me to quickly discern the current time. The weight is a quite a bit more than my titanium Seiko grand sport watch, but it is not noticeable by the arm and wrist while being worn. The gold tone is a more subtle than one might anticipate; the pictures do not do justice to the timepiece. All in all, I am happy with the purchase and the price on Amazon. Brick and mortar stores compete unfavorably to the prices offered on Amazon. I highly recommend purchasing this product. Good value, good product, good look.

I am quite pleased with the appearance and accuracy of the Seiko Courtura watch (SNA694) I purchased. I have owned Seiko watches since the 1960's when I bought my first one in Southeast Asia. However, as I get older I find the alarm is too high pitched and the volume too low to suit these 70 year old ears. On the other hand I have far fewer requiremens to be reminded with an alarm.

This is a ruggedly handsome timepiece. It isn't dainty, yet it isn't oversized or bulky. Of course, it keeps accurate time without question. The one complaint I have is that it is a bit hard to read at a glance. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, the contrast between the hands and the face is not sufficient to make possible a quick note of the time. However, I have learned that viewing the watch at a slight angle or minimizing the glare or reflection off the bezel can greatly reduce this drawback. Without this distraction, I would award 5 stars.

I had to return this watch to Amazon because the face was hard to read. The pictures did not accurately show the lack of contrast between the hands and the background color of the face. Otherwise, I liked the watch.

This is an excellent watch. It is accurate, stylish and well designed. I wear it every day and I have had no problems with it.
