This is a great, stylish watch, but beware!! No where does it tell you that if you'd like to use the alarm, you have to reset it every 12 hours, and it is not possible to set it for further than 12 hours from the current time. Additionally, every time you set the alarm, the clock stops running, so they caution you to set your watch a few minutes ahead of time to account for the time you will lose while setting the alarm. Even more inconvenient, every time you go to reset the alarm, the hands of the alarm spin around to the current time and you have to reset. There is no way to just reactivate the alarm for the current time that it is set at.Again, this is a wonderful watch that is very nice, but if you're looking for one to use an alarm for every day use, this is probably not the watch for you as it is very tedious.

I've had this watch for over a year now, and I have no complaints. It looks great with almost anything and has a tough finish that doesn't scratch or scuff (the metal or the crystal). The blue face is understated but brilliant in the light. The built-in timer and alarm functions are nice, although I rarely use them. I agree with the other review that the nite-glo hands are not that bright, though that's a minor issue. All in all, a great watch.

I've been a Seiko fan since I was a teenager. My father gave me a Seiko on my birthday when I was 12, and I had that watch well into my 20's.After buying Casio, TImex, etc. for the last few years I finally decided I needed another Seiko. I wanted a Chronograph watch and choose this one. It keeps time well, the features work and are easy to use (read the manual) and it is a nice looking watch. I highly recommend this watch.

I have worn this watch for approximately 1050 days since I purchased it October 2007. The military made me time conscious, so I only remove the watch to shower. It has the usual wear on the band and crystal with some character scratches. I feel comfortable wearing it with business attire as well as cargo shorts and a tee shirt. The watch is running on the same battery since new and has functioned as advertised. I have recieved a few compliments from the ladies, but bought it primarily as a casual wear timepiece.

My previous watch was a Seiko gold chronograph that lasted 23 years. Water got into the casing thanks to a careless battery replacement person at the local mall, and it would cost more to fix than a new watch would cost. Given the great history I had with my previous Seiko, I knew I wanted another one. I decided to go with a more contemporary look of a stainless/silver watch, and I definitely wanted a blue face. I also wanted most of the functionality I had in my previous chronograph, although I felt I could forgo the rotating slide-rule bezel--a cool feature I never used in 23 years. I chose this watch after looking at about two dozen. It has an easy to read face, looks sharp, and has a thin profile--it's definitely not as "chunky" as some other chronographs I've seen. I wear suits most of the time, but this watch looks great with shorts and a t-shirt, too. Have received several compliments on it. I am very happy with this watch, and buying it on Amazon definitely saved me money. If I had any nitpicks, it's just that the blue face is dark navy, and it looks almost black unless you catch it in the light just right. However, the 3 silver dials and polished markers used instead of numbers really pop against that dark face, which makes the watch easy to read. The styling and color make it seem like a timeless classic that I hope will run for another 23 years, just like my last Seiko.

This is a beautiful watch to own, no complaints there. The only complaint is that its a little confusing to figure out as it does have a stopwatch feature and the second hand only moves for that purpose. You will need to read the instructions to understand fully how the watch works.

I owned an Invicta prior to this purchase and I was very disappointed with it. The Invicta was bulky, heavy, and cheaply-made. After the "second-hand" fell off... I decided to buy myself a Seiko. I searched online for hours trying to find the perfect one. Finally, I found this one (SNA695). I added it to my wish list, it was $208 at the time, and waited for weeks for the price to decrease. When it fell to $143, I purchased it. The watch is awesome. It has a navy blue dial and has a very slim and elegant design. Perfect for suits or blue jeans. I am very happy with it and as for the wait... It was worth it.

I bought this watch for my husband at Christmas time and he loves it as much as I do. It's such a nice looking piece that can be dressed up or used casually. I would surely recommend.

Wow! Up $49 from three days ago. I got it for $170.So, this is a beautiful watch. The deep blue face is truly striking. The size of the watch is perfect for my off the rack medium arm, and the bracelet is excellent. I had to have one link removed, and it now fits perfectly. I normally wear either a Rolex or Tag, both of which are heavier and bulkier than this watch, but I always wear a less valuable watch when travelling in Europe. My old Seiko died after 20 years, so this is a replacement. It's way prettier than the almost same watch it replaces, and really carries a style of class that almost matches the Rolex or Tag. This is not a real Chronograph. No moving bezel, only a minute and hour timer, but it does have a 1/5 second minute stopwatch, has the nifty little dials (the babes dig fancy watches and think you must be a pilot), but it is a stunning piece. Not overly heavy, not light either. I don't care about waterproof as I don't go in the water unless it's a bath tub or hot tub and in either of those I couldn't care less what time it is. It does have an alarm function, but it's useless. I can grind my teeth louder than this wimpy alarm. What the alarm function is good for, is keeping time in a dual time zone. You can set the main watch for wherever you are, and leave the alarm setting to your normal, or any other time zone. That's how I use it. Carry a seperate alarm if you need one. The alarm on the watch wouldn't wake up an insomniac. I really like this piece, and won't have any problem wearing it casually or in dress up mode. If you need a good time piece and like the look of a Chronograph, I certainly recommend this Seiko, and I know it will be more accurate than either the Rolex or Tag. Carry on. |
