It's a great looking watch and thinner than the clumps of metal that pass as mens watches.

I've had several comments from guys, believe it or not. It makes a change from the silver/steel and gold you see everywhere.

Only negative, the second chrono hand is a bit hard to see as it is so thin.

Accuracy is a given with Seiko.

Arrived in perfect condition, Amazon was best price.

The watch is not actually Kinetic, it has been misnamed. It is battery, but I knew that before I bought it.

Love the watch. Great looking and the right size for my wrist. And Seiko quality and reliability. However, I would like to say a word or two to potential senior customers (with old eyes and ears) - the small dials are kind of tough to read. For example, it's difficult to set the alarm time exactly where you want it - actually, that doesn't matter since you can't hear the alarm anyway! Much too high a frequency. And determining the exact minute when the stopwatch is stopped is difficult unless you use a magnifier. I guess these are just nits since I like the watch so much, but I thought they might be helpful.

I bought this watch because of the technology described above and touted finish, but became very disappointed in less than a year with the finish of the watch and band. The "titanium carbide nitride and gold-tone stainless steel" finish does not last. Within a year, with normal wear, the finish has become quite worn and looks like a cheap watch. With the good reviews I read prior to buying, and the heavy marketing Seiko performed concerning the watch/band finish, I thought I had a real keeper for years to come. Unfortunately, I quit wearing the watch after about 14 months because it no longer had the professional look I wanted. Color me disappointed.

Nice watch but bracelet showed signs of wear after 2 months. White spots gradually getting larger. Not what you would expect for the price and from a manufacturer with good record in general.
Called the company to be educated that if you work in "office" and keep your hands on a desk a lot this will happen and that the bracelet is not covered on warranty. Confused I asked what if I worked in construction using sledgehammer would wear on the bracelet be likely less pronounced?
Request for money return met with refusal. The bracelet has been replaced. Initially they requested $80 for the privilege. After some "negotiations" the bracelet replacement was free. Still now I have a $300 watch that looks nice but do I wear it or frame it?
Stay away from this one.

Watch arrived 2 days earlier than the estimated delivery which I took as a good sign. My initial impression of the watch is very positive - it is a very attractive design with the metallic black offset by the gold enhancements. Telling the time is easy with the hands standing out from the black background of the face without issue. A bonus was reasonably good luminous hands which worked well is pitch dark settings - something that wasn't mentioned in the product description. The luminosity isn't so good in semi-dark IMHO but not complaining. Watch band feels a little light compared to high end watches but for the price I'm not complaining.

Setting the watch up is relatively easy but you need to crack the instruction manual codes - not intuitive but the watch wasn't designed by Steve Jobs. Chronograph operation works well although the second hand doesn't perfectly set at 12 = off by 1/5 second. Haven't cracked the alarm setting but I'm using that device as a second time zone (UK) as suggested.

Overall I'm pleased with my purchase - I wanted a decent priced chronograph which could be used as a standard day watch and that's exactly what I got. Time to get the band adjusted - will see if the finish holds up to general wear and tear.

I've been using this watch for a few weeks now, and I'm quite pleased with it. I've found it to be highly functional, but I would expect no less from Seiko. But I also like the way it looks. I like the elegance. It's the first watch I've owned with a black band, and I've not been disappointed. The alarm works (although maybe not as loud as I'd like), and the chronograph functions work as advertised. The accuracy is impeccable. I'm pleased.

I have been wearing the same seiko watch since 1971, and was way overdue for an upgrade, eventhough my seiko was in good condition. I researched this product on the internet and was impressed with what I read.

This Watch is absolutely of "First Class" quality. The pictures do not do it justice. The product is very handsome without being overbearing. The price was a bargin for a watch of this quality. I have had the watch for 3 months now and have had numerous compliments on it. It performs perfectly.

You can't go wrong with this Seiko if you are shopping for a chronograph alarm watch. Top of the line....without question.

I was looking for an investment, something that would not break in a couple years, I wanted some classy and durable and visual appealing and would last for a long time. This watch is it! The Pictures do not do it justice, it's ten time more the shine and smooth. JC Penny sells the exact same watch, in fact, after receiving this, I went to JC Penny to compare and contrast the two, -just to make sure that this was really a Genuine Seiko, it checks out with flying colors. The only difference is that at JC Penny's its 47% more the cost. For this price, the quality and style, this watch is it!!!
