5.0 out of 5 stars Overall a great watch
While doing my research on this watch, I found quite a few comments regarding "small wrists." I'm not quite sure what "small" means, but for those looking for something more quantitative, my wrist measures 7.25" in circumference and the watch fits and looks great. My guess is you might have trouble wearing this watch if your wrist was less than ~6.5" in circumference. The...

3.0 out of 5 stars A Bit too Chunky
After I got the watch, realised I may have paid high for the item. Anyway, will enjoy it for the next 7 years as the manual says, the LCD life is only 7 years.

Finally, it is a bit too Chunky. Not for medium build people like me.

The overall functionality of this watch is really great. As with all things, though, there is still room for improvement. First, it would be really nice to have a backlight for digital display. Second, I don't really care for the orange function buttons. They're not that noticable, but I think it slightly detracts from what is otherwise a very classy looking watch. Third, it would be nice to be able to go either direction in "World Time" mode; not a big deal, but would just be nice. One trick to be aware of that it took some frustration figuring out; make sure you have it set on GMT before you set the time, otherwise it will point to the wrong city when you are in "World Time" mode. I almost thought the watch was defective before I finally figured out what to do. The owner's manual did not mention this at all. All things considered, I am very happy with this watch and highly recommend it.

This is a great watch for travelers. One of the nicest things is that there is a sharp contrast between the dial and the hour and minute hands so hour is clearly visible. The ONLY MAJOR DRAWBACK is the lack of backlight that is very useful in dim situations when digital hour is needed.

I am very happy with this watch. I've had Seiko watches in the past. The analog watch face has great contrast making it easy for my old eyes to tell time even with my glasses off. There is one minor problem involving the easy of pushing the function button at the 8 o'clock position. I find I can depress the button by flexing my wrist when I'm typing. this causes the watch to shift modes. It's a rare event, but that's something to think about for the future. Another problem is the lack of back lighting the digital panels. This would be nice for times when you're in the dark and want to see the time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Seiko sportura SNJ005 user comments, September 11, 2008

Good looking and elegant, fits the bill functionwise (I need the world time function).
On the down side a bit heavy, due to the steel used and lacks a backlight, hence only four stars.
I would still buy it again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Overall a nice watch.., November 23, 2006
This review is from: Seiko Men's SNJ005 Sportura Alarm Chronograph Watch (Watch)
Bought this watch a few months back. Overall a good watch, on the larger side. The issues I could see was:

1. No Indian Standard Time, if you are indian or visit india a lot, this will be a problem.

2. It is on the heavier side with a large band.
