best watch i've ever owned,
I have been wearing seiko's kinetic watches exclusively for about 10 years now. This one is my third. It's the best one so far. Kinetic is awesome...my first one which is now close to 11 years old still works perfectly.BUY THIS WATCH, you will not regret it

This review is from: Seiko Men's SNL001 Arctura Kinetic Chronograph Watch (Watch)
I have owned this watch for about a month. It is quite nice. But, it is a bit heavy. The titanium band may be more light, but is more expensive. What is most dissapointing about it is that the stainless steel band gets easily scratched. And, the design of the hour and minute hands could have been more fashionable. Nonetheless, it is quite nice watch for 250$.

Ten Years and Ticking.....,

This review is from: Seiko Men's SNL001 Arctura Kinetic Chronograph Watch (Watch)
I have had this watch for around 10 years now and is still ticking to the nearest second. If it wasn't for day time saving, I would never have had to adjust the dial!!!! Yes...it is that accurate...The primary reason I bought this watch, which was one of the few kinetics back then, was because I've wanted a watch that would keep accurate Quartz quality time while keeping it its back casket factory-sealed. Unfortunately for battery operated watches, and regardless where you go to replace a watch's battery, you will always risk water infiltration as the watch will never be the same as its original gas-tight condition. The watch is super accurate and extremely water tight. I've gone swiming wearing it over and over again, dived 15 meters in the sea, and even showered wearing it on a daily basis. The secret as I said is you never ever need to open it to change a dead battery, while at the same time maintaining the Quartz accuracy that you get with Quartz battery operated watches. Sometimes I store it for 4 to 6 months and wear it again only to notice that this jewel has kept an accurate time up to the second. The only drawback is that it is somewhat heavy, but this is a small price to pay for the accuracy and convince of having it while in the shower or swimming. If you really want a keeper, go ahead and do yourself a favor and buy this master piece. I guarantee you will never regret it

I have owned this watch for 4 years now and have worn it almost every waking hour (except when doing sports/outdoors stuff that could damage it). The crystal face plate is virtually scratch proof and looks exactly as when I bought it (and that's impressive considering my nature)! I plan on wearing this watch for at least another 5 years, if not keeping it cycled in forever. I have never had to take it in to be fixed, and as a kinetic watch never have had to worry about the battery. I originally got it as a graduation gift from high school and think it makes a wonderful present. I have received countless compliments from it, probably more than anything else (and that's with a giant gold UT ring ;)).To those who complain about the lack of illumination from the light-charged glowing hands, all i have to say is that the watch wasn't meant to be read in the dark. The glowing hands are just meant to add a little bit of pizazz when you're in low light.

This Watch from Seiko has been beautifully designed, the rugged armband with the polished details looks awesome and the case design is just fantastic. The watch has a modern look to it by the continuous shape the armband and case follow and even the buttons in the right side of it mimic/follow this design. The case also has a modern look to it with some of the details making it look classy. The chronometer sub dial has a tiny blue touch to it that looks fantastic in a rather general silver dial and the fact that it doesn't need to change batteries is definitely a plus (it uses the natural movement from your hand to charge itself). While the crystal is made of Sapphire (in other words it won't scratch as other types of crystal) the band and case are made of stainless steel, and even if it looks fantastic it does get easily scratched which is the only complaint I would have. Also to notice is that the watch is kind of heavy, but to me it's not a con, it's rather a plus, so I can feel I actually carry the watch in my hand without it being annoying. Bottom line: if you like a modern, excellent made, great looking and classy watch even if it's a little heavy then this watch is for you

Beautiful Dress/Casual Watch,

I've had the watch for 2 weeks now. First, I made a mistake of using my home made watch band resizing kit to make size adjustments: i removed some of the pins and bands incorrectly so when I tried putting the pins back, they all seemed to magically become too thin and continually fell out. I ended up taking it to a watch repair shop who mentioned that some of the pins used are unusual and not the typical split-end type.Since then, the watch has worked perfectly. It looks gorgeous, really stands out. I liked the classic silver look which is not as gaudy and flashy as the other gold-on-blue themes (or gold on white which is hard to read). The watch's sapphire face is durable, although I'm concerned about the smoothed stainless steal band. I had hoped that watches this expensive would be made of titanium because somehow I get the feeling that trying to replace an old scratched up band with a new one for a Seiko watch will not be that cheap. I've had a lot of gadgety all-digital watches (eg Casio) and this 1/5 second stop watch feature is really cool. The main feature I miss though is not actually a perpetual calendar function, but an alarm function. However, this is a dress watch (meant to impress) so like its small dials, it does make sacrifices for extremely awesome style over basic functionality. I can't definitely picture this being in a Men-in-Black film if the watch had an additional alarm feature. The main caveats I'll mention are that since this is not a perpetual calendar, for each 30 day month and February, you have to adjust the date ahead manually since teh watch always assumes it's a 31 day month. Also, while I think having the main clock as a small subdial is cool and reasonable giving the chronograph function, the small dials on the main clock are hard to read in a split second glance and virtually impossible to see at night because Seiko's shine-in-the-dark Lumibrite paint just doesn't have enough area to work with (at night, I rarely see the dials glow since they've generally faded already, and when they do glow, the small dials mean small glow so it's still really hard to read the main clock).

A real jewel,
This watch is a wonderful and stylish timepiece. The Condition I received the item in was impeccable; it looked as though I was the first one to open the box. Amazing watch, amazing price. I would defiantly recommend purchasing this particular watch from this vendor.
