This is a really beautiful watch. The colors combination is awesome. The big date display is really useful for people on the 50s; I don't need my glasses to check it. The bracelet is solid; the contrast between the dial color and the hands is good so I can see the hour with a glance. It is not too heavy and the perpetual calendar and the stand by functions are superb. The first one changes dates automatically for 30 days months (Also for 28 or 29 in leap years), and the second stops the hour to save battery and restarts it with a few movements. At last, it is kinetic, so it does not need to replace the battery. It charges with hand movement. I forgot to mention it has a sapphire crystal.

Cons: Just one. The bracelet is short. I am 6' tall and only need to remove one piece of it. For a big people can be a problem, because it is a rare bracelet and can be difficult to find additional pieces.

Any good analog quartz watch will keep excellent time, and most chronograph watches have more functions than most people need. But this type of perpetual calendar watch has some really useful features: It keeps track of the month, of the year, and knows the number of years since the last leap year. As a result there is never a need to adjust the date window. It also goes into a power saving mode if the watch has not been worn for 24 hours; the proper time is kept internally while the hands are stopped. Everything returns to the normal operating mode when the watch is once again worn (and is in motion). But let's face it, today most men wear a watch as a fashion accessory, and this one is flat out stunning......It can be worn casually and for dress-up.

This review is for anyone with big hands, wrists and forearms.
I did read all the reviews and specs on this fine timepiece;
so I knew the bracelet was one size fits all. You'd think with
a watch of this quality, Seiko would've incorporated an adjustable
bracelet. Alas they did not. I have huge hands, very wide wrists
and thick forearms. So large in fact, I can't even close the clasp.
Daily workouts may be great for your overall health and appearance,
but it sure makes buying off the rack difficult! The watch itself
is truly top notch. My 3 star rating is based solely on Seiko's
shortsightedness regarding the aforementioned one size "DOESN'T"
fit all bracelet. I just took it to a local Jeweler, who fortunately
for me happens to be an Authorized Seiko dealer and service center.
I was told that adding links is simple, but obtaining them may not be.
Pardon the corny, cliche pun... but time will tell. Even if you have
small hands and/or thin to normal size wrists and forearms; in all
likelihood you'll be having links removed. It's not expensive, but it
is damn inconvenient and would've been totally unnecessary if Seiko
simply followed Timex's adjustable bracelet design.

Beautifully designed and built. Gains about 3 seconds per month.. Can't get over the claim that the watch will suspend all mechanical parts (hour, minute, second hands, 24-hour and month dials, and the two-digit date dial) when placed in a drawer for up to 4 years, then reset all hands and dials to the then-current date and time, when the watch is shaken. These Kinetic features make this one of the finest bargains in luxury watches. I'm planning to buy two more, in different styles, because changing watches every few days, weeks or years requires no resetting, just a quick shake..

I'm a Seiko fan, and I wasn't so sure about the dark color and the gold accents, but I'm so happy with my 5th Seiko, The shipment was fast and best of all, When I opened the box everything was set already, but in sleep mode, I shaked it up and I came to life, leap year, date and time was perfect out of the box!!, Now I have nothing to worry about until 2100!!, I may read the instructions if I reach 2101.

The colors combination is a real winner, it is absolutely beautiful, the sapphire crystal shines like a jewel, photos doesn't make justice

Was torn between 3-4 different watches but decided on this one.... Even if it was more expensive than the others. Couldn't be happier looks awesome on my wrist. I check the time a lot these days because I just want to look at the watch. Everyone has noticed I got a new watch (and right away) and has complimented how nice it looks. Functionally, it's a Seiko... It performs wonderfully as you would expect a Seiko to perform.

Nicest looking watch I've ever owned. Perpetual calendar and time is very cool! Would definitely recommend this watch to a friend.

This watch looks great and keeps perfect time. We have seven various Seiko clocks and watches and have never had a problem with any of them. Like the watch, they all look great and keep perfect time.

Love this watch! Never had a Kinetic watch before. It took a little patience to set it up. The book is good, but you have to "think" a little. Took a couple of links out for a better fit. Have had several compliments already. It has a very "up-scale" look.

I bought it a few months a go, and have received thus far, several complements regarding its beauty. It is really eye catching. I saw many people stare at it to see its brand and its look. This watch is very shiny, stylish and elegant.
