I picked this up at a department jewelry store that will remain nameless. At 40% off, it was still around $30 more expensive than amazon.com's price, although a watch is not typically something I would buy online. But this is a great deal. This really is a beautiful looking watch, formal enough to wear with a suit or to work every day, but also just casual enough so that it doesn't look out of place when you put it on to go shopping or run errands on a Saturday. The pictures here really don't do it justice. I wanted a watch with a black face, but couldn't resist how nice this looked, and it being a Seiko at this price point sealed the deal. The fact is, the face does look black when it's not in direct light, and when it is, the blue is such a deep, subtle navy blue you can barely see it, but it looks great. I couldn't be happier with the way it looks.

The perpetual calendar is one of the coolest things ever. No more having to set the date during months with 30 days, etc. This baby knows what month it is. Fantastic.

This watch has what's called a "deployment clasp" band, which is probably the easiest type of band to take on and take off. I had received a watch with an open bracelet band as a gift, and while the watch looked nice, that was truly a pain to put on. For this type of band, just press in the 2 buttons on the side of the clasp, and it unlatches to a safety catch, and then just slip it off. When you put it back on, just press the clasp in til it snaps. Easy!

That's a lot of description for a watch I know, but it's the simple things in life that make you happy. This watch would be a great buy at double amazon's price. I'm sure most people would want to pick something like this out in a store, but at this price, it'd be hard to pass it up.

I was thrilled with the quality of this Seiko Perpetual Calendar watch I bought my husband for Christmas. It was shipped on time with quality packaging to protect the product. The price was fantastic compared to all the jewelry stores and Department stores. The only negative was when I pulled the watch out of the box, I had to clean it up due to a dried substance on it from what I swear was dried chocolate. Whoever boxed up this watch obviously had dirty hands because their finger prints were all over the watch. Luckily, it cleaned off beautifully.

I bought this watch as a gift for my dad as a "thank you" gift for helping to pay for my wedding. The watch is BEAUTIFUL! He absolutely loves it. I went to get it engraved and it doesn't have enough space on the clasp to have anything engraved (other than a couple of letters maybe)but there was plenty of room on the back of the face. My wedding was 3 weeks ago and I haven't seen my dad not wear the watch since!

The watch looks and works great. I really like the perpetual calendar feature which saves resetting the date in months with less than 31 days. It has a hefty feel to it, which I like. My only disappointment is that it doesn't have a luminous dial, but that's a minor thing.

If you are looking for a high quality watch with fantastic design, this one is for you. The timepiece is amazing with etching on the dial giving a distinct look. The dial is actually dark blue which i think is quite different from other blue dial watches. It is a perfect and a unique watch to have it in one's collection

This is a nice watch and its great not having to adjust the days anymore like my old citizen eco drive.

You will not be disappointed if you purchase this watch. I bought it because I wanted a perpetual calendar complication on my watch. I also wanted an uncomplicated design on the dial face. This watch is simply beautiful and has the weight of an automatic. One of the best things about the watch is the stainless steel bracelet. It is hardy and it's what gives this watch it's heft. I love this watch.
