Set in a 39 mm brushed and polished steel case, the dial is capped with a scratch-resistant Hardlex crystal and framed by a stationary brushed steel bezel with engraved minute markers. Watch aficionados will enjoy the view of the 23-jewel automatic movement through the see-through skeleton caseback. Automatic movement means this watch winds itself with the subtle and natural motions of your wrist and never requires a battery. The watch presents on a dynamic steel link bracelet made up of brushed and polished pieces and finished with a double-locking fold over clasp. About Seiko
In 1877, at the age of 18, Kintaro Hattori set up business repairing the Western-style clocks that were becoming increasingly popular in Japan. Very nice watch! With half a dozen good watches to chose from in the morning, this is hands down my favorite. Its size is perfect, its weight is perfect. The skeleton back is a nice touch. Mine will never be used as a divers watch, as i dont dive, however, this is a great everyday watch. Those of you who own Seiko's know, there is just something about them. The HONDA of the watch world.. you know it will never let you down, and it will soon be your favorite.

I received the watch today and it was not in new condition. The packing material had been reused indicating a returned watch. The documentation says it is a diver's watch but the crown does not lock and the second hand does not stop when the crow is pulled out to set the time. If the watch is truly water resistant to 100 M the crown should lock. I will send it in for repair but I am not a happy camper.

Love this watch, but had to go online to figure out how to shorten the band. They should provide instructions with the watch. So far it has kept time. The hands are bright in the dark. The size of the watch is just what I was looking for, not to big, and not to small. The band quality is really good also.
