This is my first automatic movement watch. It has a 4R15 movement, which apparently is fairly new. I've read mixed reviews on it, but it's running great for me. I don't track the accuracy to the second, but i can say that over the month and a half that i've had it, i only reset it once during the first 10-day break-in period, and it's been running less than 30 sec fast over a month and a half.

It's a perfect size for my fairly small wrist. I probably wouldn't go much bigger than this, although i'm used to wearing smaller watches. However, this is big enough to be bold and masculine, but small enough to be understated and not banging into things constantly. The leather strap is gorgeous and very unique, and is one of the reasons why i chose this model over the SRP029 or 027. The chrome bezel gives it a very classic look, perfect for everyday wear with any outfit or for any occasion. Some people don't like the plastic crown guard, and it's true, it does give the watch kind of a cheap feel, but i kind of like it; adds to the whole contrast look, and it really helps to accentuate the bezel.

One thing to point out, when i ordered this watch, from the photos online, it looked like the accents on the dial were red. They are actually kind of a dark orange. I'm not complaining though.

I think this is a great starter, or even mid-range watch (as far as Seikos go). It's a classic aviator look, kind of a "Sinn Knock-off", for relatively little money, and with a reliable Japanese movement. I'm absolutely in love with this watch, so much so that i have been severely neglecting the rest of my watch collection. I highly recommend it.

Excellent superluminova, deisign is simple , but no doubt seikos are great quality at all , size it's very attractive, good rubber strap has a look of leather
