Season 7 comes out November 14 and it will be in a gray box. Season 8 was supposed to come out as well, but Jerry pushed it back until next year.

One possible reason for delaying the release of the rest of the series may be because they are still making bank on syndication rights. If the entire series is available on DVD, there will be no reason to watch it on TV, which accounts for a large and steady income. DVD releases will certainly erode the syndication audience. Hence, we wait until David, Seinfeld and Sony figure they will make more money releasing the rest of the series on DVD than they will on syndication.
