I live in the Seattle area and I wear these gloves for fishing on Puget Sound in early cold mornings and for my year round daily bicycle commute of about 5 miles in cold, wet and windy weather. I am on my second pair of Seirus gloves, the first pair lasted three years before they wore out and I have to say these are the best outdoor all weather gloves I have ever had. The only reason the first pair wore out was due me trashing them by wiping out my bike, causing a small hole in a couple of the finger tips that eventually turned into a couple of big holes.

I have tried several different gloves and none of them offer the sensitivity combined with the wind and waterproof protection that these gloves offer. As other reviewers have stated, they are meant for outdoor activity. I also wear them when I go halibut fishing on early, and cold, spring mornings and they do a decent job keeping my hands warm.

I can't recommend these gloves highly enough for outdoor any weather activity, at least in the Pacific Northwest. The only negative I would mention, though it does not affect me, is that the gloves do not fit big hands. My hands are average and I need the XL's, I have friends that have big hands and they can't even start to put the gloves on.

I lost a pair, and bought the same gloves again! Great, well fitting glove. Only glove I have found that allows you FULL use of your hands while keeping them warm. These ARE meant for aerobic activity as they say on the tag. If you are standing in the rain, not moving as some reviewers have said, these probably aren't the best. (Use full rubber gloves if you're not moving). These are by far the best I have found that keep your hands warm and protected from wind and cold and wet for bike commuting, walking/running, backcountry trekking, etc.

I am a woman and I have fairly long fingers. I ordered the size Med/Large and they fit very well. These are just what I wanted for hopping in my car and driving/shopping in my northern Wisconsin area. They are warm enough for that for sure. I have not tested them for anything like snowshoeing, which I will and then I'll come add if they are or aren't good for that kind of deal.
Perfectly comfortable for driving and for grabbing things. There are grab pads on the first finger and thumb, I like that feature.

1/12/12... Have not been snowshoeing, yet, but I have shoveled much with them. They are no good for this after about 15 minutes of shoveling.
I went back to my choppers for that.

But I still LOVE them just for tooling around town and beyond for the winter....

I had been doubling up those cheapo $2 cotton gloves for a while and just decided I wanted something nicer. I have no regrets about the decision to buy these gloves. I've read some reviews about thin gloves, and they mention the "chapstick test", i.e., whether or not you can reach into your pocket to retrieve a chapstick while wearing the gloves. These definitely pass. You have full dexterity and feeling while wearing the gloves, yet they keep your hands nice and warm.

They are great for driving, as the grippy palm allows you to palm the wheel when turning. The gloves also have grippy patches on the in index finger and thumb which come in handy. Sure, it would be nice if they had grippy patches on all the finger tips, but three things: (1) the grips one the two fingers come in handy all the time, (2) I'd still rate 5 stars if they had no grips on the finger tips, and (3) after several months, I've not found a situation where I've needed or wanted grips on the other fingers. I typically have cold hands, yet, I wore these gloves skiing and had no problem (granted, it was a relatively warm day, but still...). I got stuck in powder twice, so my gloved hands were in contact with the snow quite a bit, but they didn't get wet, and my hands stayed warm. My future glove purchases will be from Seirus.

This is a great product.

I bought these gloves 2 years ago to do a Thanksgiving race/run in; It was 19 degrees. I since have used them as everyday gloves, because they look nice, and as a liner glove for cold weather motorcycle riding. I have silk liner gloves too but these provide more protection and not too much extra bulk. They are worth the price! Mine are still functional after 2 years, but do have piling. I will definitely buy them again!

I am a busy Mom and on the go all of the time. I have to tie shoes, get coats on, and hold onto my car keys. I hate wearing thick bulky gloves. I needed something thin, yet warm on my hands. These gloves are amazing. They keep my hands warm and I can use my hands as if I wasn't wearing any gloves. I can actually pick up change with these gloves on. I strongly recommend these.

These gloves are definitely more for people who live in warmer climates. I got these because it said they were waterproof and warm but they didn't work for me at all in the snow and wind. I live in the Northeast and used them today when it was about 1* outside and my hands were freezing. They fit pretty tightly about the wrists and appear to be waterproof but they do not even come close to being adequate in winter weather. I will probably end up wearing these under mittens until I can find something warmer.

These gloves are water resistant- my hands were dry after working outside in the snow for several hours. They are not exceptionally warm, but they were not advertised as such. The wrist part is nice and long and the fit is very good, snug but not hard to put on and take off. They look dressy too even though I need them for working outside loading snowy wood.

The gloves are pretty fitting and are not too troublesome to put on. I use them for bike riding in the morning when the air is just cold enough to bite. These are not meant for extremely cold temperatures, but could pass off as liners if necessary. The palm, index finger and thumb have gripping material attached. It can stretch a limited amount (much like a pre-shrunk cotton t-shirt).

Overall good gloves.

After finding what I thought I wanted, I ordered these gloves. After my order was shipped I tried tracking the package but noticed the description of the gloves had changed. THESE ARE WOMENS GLOVES. They have to be returned. Be careful when ordering these if you are looking for men gloves, they are women's, and are advertised under Mens Accessories.
