Editorial Reviews

Review

As a psychologist and author, I applaud your inspiring insights! -- Priscilla V. Marotta, PhD, Author, Power and Wisdom

It is one of those remarkable books which leaves you feeling that you know its author... -- Russell Pollard, Executive Director, Epilepsy Foundation of Victoria

Leanne Chilton shares her heart and soul in a gutsy first-person account of living with and recovering from seiures -- Anita Pace, Author, Life Isn't Just a Panic

From the Publisher

Seizure Free was published because of the need for a book of its magnitude. Many books have been written about epilepsy, but not any about having brain surgery and becoming well. The goal of English Press is to inform, to enlighten , and to inspire its reader, but more importantly, to fulfill a need. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Astonishing View From The Inside, May 1, 2003
By

Leanne Chilton's victory is revealed through an emotional journey of chilling, revealing passages into a world many have never understood. It is true that this is must-have information for those suffering seizure disorders. But it is equally true that it speaks of the silent acts of valor that go unseen for their grace and determination. Seizure disorders needn't have touched one's life to draw strength and inspiration from this remarkable work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surgery and a Positive Attitude Pay Off, April 2, 2000
By
This review is from: Seizure Free : From Epilepsy to Brain Surgery, I Survived, and You Can, Too! (Paperback)
I just finished Leanne Chilton's book, Seizure Free. Since I myself am getting ready to have a temporal lobectomy, it was a great help to read someone else's story. The anger, fear, and disappointments which Ms. Chilton expressed were very familiar to me and undoubtedly to many others . The saga takes one through the onset of seizures, the anguish caused by them, the persistent pursuit of a diagnosis and treatment to brain surgery and the thrill of regaining her former seizure-free life. Ms. Chilton is very methodic in the telling of her story. Her optimistic and persistent attitude was impressive and set an example for the rest of us to follow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Book for Hope, February 12, 2001

This review is from: Seizure Free : From Epilepsy to Brain Surgery, I Survived, and You Can, Too! (Paperback)
Leanne Chilton shares from the heart. She tells her personal story in a very open way. A story of courage, survival and hope. You may benefit from this book, even if you do not have epilepsy or are not considering brain surgery. If you suffer from seizures or are going for nuerosurgery, please read this book!
