Selah Pause and Consider is a 366 day pictorial devotional suitable for men, women, couples and church groups. With a unique format, it includes a daily thought, supported on every page by Scriptures, a photograph, a hymn stanza and a suggested daily application, all woven together in a theme for the day. Each daily thought includes an analogy from everyday life illustrated by personal stories from the author’s experience. The author’s desire is to draw the reader into the presence of their living and loving God and to encourage them in their faith journey. Readers are invited to spend a few minutes each day drawing inspiration from Scripture and stories they can relate to that are transparent, heart-warming and challenging. The photographs and hymns are intended to enhance the devotional experience.

I love the author's vulnerabilty into her life walk. I have never seen or read a devotional like it. It's a must have. It will encourage you, challenge you and inspire you. With the pictures, the select reading for the day, along with a few lines of a hymn, it sets the tone for my day. I hope you will add this to your daily must read. I strongly recommend this devotional, I bought 20 books for my staff and volunteers! I know this author to be very transparent and always striving for a closer walk with the Lord. This book will draw you there too!

This devotional is a rich collection of simple analogies inspired by simply living life and paying attention to Gods creation. Lois' humble approach to her own lessons that she has had to learn as God is shaping and developing her as His child are rich and useful. The daily scripture reference and recommended additional study create a thought provoking devotional that can be used for a quick 5 minute mind centering thought, or a daily reading plan. The full color photographs are beautiful and bring the written text to life. I strongly recommend that everyone take a year and "pause and consider" God in their everyday experiences

Not what you expect.
I was not expecting a 365 day Christian devotional but that's what i got. This product could probably use a different product listing to demonstrate that.
