Format: Paperback
This is a facinating account about one of the forgotten figures in old west history.I bought this book out of curiosity and found that I couldn't put it down untill I was finished. I began the book prepared to disbelieve what was written, especialy when I realized it was written by the grandson of Lindsey. My fears were soon laid to rest as I found McCullough to be an honest and entertaining historian. The death of Bill Dalton and the facts he presents to support his version of the famous outlaws death are impressive. In the end I found myself wishing for two things. The first is that Lindsey's earlier years driving cattle, hunting bufallo, anf facing the Comanche were better detailed. the second is that I could have met the remarkable man.

I have read many better accounts of some of the events featured in this book. I was rather dissappointed in it as a whole.
