We use this product every night with our 18 month old son.

They are pretty much a little bit larger than a maxi pad, with no sticky on the back.

My daughter was wetting through her overnight diapers EVERY night.

I have been using this brand of diaper doublers for close to 2 years now and recommend it to anyone who had a problem with leaky diapers at night. The pad augment my son's overnight diaper (which we generally size up from his daytime diaper to accomodate him and the pad) as, before we had these boosters, we couldn't make it through the night without a very wet, and very messy child. I personally prefer that the doubler has no adhesive because adhesive generally acts as a barrier to liquid and the point of the diaper doubler is to absorb excess liquid but still pass urine to the regular diaper lining (effectively giving you twice the amount of lining)... adhesive would (in my opinion) ruin the effectiveness so I am happy with the product just the way it is!

Also, I am always paranoid that I will run out of diaper booster pads because they are never on the shelf at Toys-R-Us. So, although more expensive here (by about $4) it is still a relief to know I get get my overnight diaper pads in more place than just one.

One last reommendation for a parent of a leaky baby - we noticed that our leaks dramatically decreased when we moved from on one-piece pajama to a two piece pajama (with a waist band). My son tends to sleep with his butt up in the air so it helps to have another barrier to keep it all inside.

Update: 9/2014 - my original review is below. I have used these booster pads since 2010 for 3 kids. This is still perhaps my most recommended baby product ever. If you have a child with night time leaks this product will amaze you!

--------Original Review--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These diaper boosters mean the difference between nighttime leaks and my kids waking up dry in the morning. I have tried several brands of overnight diapers, and while they work pretty well alone, I would have to change my son at 5am or he would leak. This wasn't ideal because he would sometimes wake up and not go back to sleep as I changed him. A friend recommended these diaper boosters, and when placed in an overnight diaper, both kids stopped nighttime leaks completely! This product is truly a lifesaver as I live in an apartment without a washing machine so it is hard for me to wash sheets every night if the kids leak.

The diaper boosters are a long thick cotton-like pad. The diaper boosters look a bit like a woman's maxi pad, but without the plastic coating underneath, which allows the booster to fill to capacity with urine and then pass the rest of the urine through it and onto the diaper. A friend asked me if a maxi pad could just do the same thing as this product (I know, I know...you are probably wondering who would want to place a maxi pad in a diaper anyway, but since people have brought this up to me when I have recommended this product, I will address it). A maxi pad would not work the same way because it has a plastic coating underneath, so the urine could not flow into the diaper, which would result in leaks.

I tried double diapering and adding a maxi pad to a night time diaper and it still leaked. This is a great product but I had to modify it a bit to eliminate leaks:

For my tummy-sleeping son, I folded it in half so it only covered his 'parts' (when it ran the full length - he developed diaper rash on his butt since this does NOT have a moisture wicking cover to it). Make sure the fold is towards the top (2 ends facing down) but BELOW where you adhere the diaper waist tabs. If there is any gap at the waist or if this pad is under where you tighten the waist- it will still leak - A LOT.

One improvement would be to have a least one side have a moisture wicking cover (like a maxi pad) since this just keeps moisture right against the skin, thus can promote diaper rash.

These pads work great! They are a lifesaver! However, they are much cheaper through Toys R Us or Babies R Us website. The price that Amazon is charging for 90 pads, is the same price that Babies R us charges for 180 pads. Why pay the same amount for half of the product that you could get somewhere else. The same thing goes for the 30 pack. It is half the price at Babies R Us. I hope this review helps others to save money.

I buy these for my 22 month old son who would leak out of every night time diaper we tried. The booster pad has helped tremendously. We have used them for about 2 months and have only one leak. Originally, I tried just placing the pad in the diaper; however, we've had more success with it folded over in the front. If this review was helpful, please click yes below the review. Thank you

Finally, something that keeps my super-duper soaker son dry for the entire night, without fail! We have tried EVERYTHING: Huggies and Pampers overnight diapers, Nighttime Pull-Ups, Luvs, Pampers Baby Dry (says 12 hours on the box, but not for MY kid) and even overstuffed cloth that stunk to high heaven in the morning and would only sometimes hold him. He would always be damp around the waistline because he is a tummy sleeper and moves around a ton in his sleep. We have had this problem from about 3-4 months until now, and he is almost 21 months old. I never tried these because they seemed expensive and I thought it was silly that they would work when an overnight diaper would not. I thought I'd be destined to wash sheets/blankets/pajamas every single day until he was night potty-trained.

But these work! The first night I used one, it did not work. I just laid it flat inside the diaper, a Huggies overnight diaper. But the second night I folded it in half and put it in the front where he needs the protection and we have not had a single leak since. We are going on a month and no leaks. None. I am amazed!

You can get these cheaper if you have a local Babies R Us. I got them for under 5 bucks for a pack of 30. I have used these in both regular diapers (Target store brand and Pampers Baby Dry) and inside an Overnight Pull-Up (I took the Pull-Up apart at the sides and put it on like a regular diaper, then refastened the sides) and they worked equally well in all. No more buying overnight diapers, these are the best! Wish I would have tried them a year ago and saved myself a lot of work.
