This is a great selection of boogie woogie tunes performed primarily by bands. The sound quality is fine and there are some extremely rare and wonderful performances. Especially noteworthy are Boogie Woogie on St Louis Blues, Oscar's Boogie, and Central Avenue Breakdown.
I greatly enjoy listening to the piano boogie masters (Lewis, Ammons, Johnson) and to hear their incrdible solo stuff - you must look elsewhere. But on this collection I discovered a few fantastic boogie-ers I had never heard of (Jay McShann, Ray McKinley, to name two). Very fun. Well worth the [money]
