Incisive and therapeutic,

This review is from: Self-Care Now! 30 Ways to Overcome Obstacles That Prevent You From Taking Care of Yourself (Paperback)
Pauline Salvucci, M.A., has written a booklet that is both brief and helpful for anyone seeking to improve how they take care of themselves. Self-care is also crucial for anyone who takes care of other people--you can't get water from a dry well. Speaking from experience as both a personal and professional coach, psychotherapist, and teacher, Ms. Salvucci clarifies the major obstacles to self-care (fear of selfishness, guilt, and shame) and pinpoints ways to overcome them. I found her suggestions to be both incisive and therapeutic, helping us to clear out negative thoughts and behaviors and implement new and more helpful ones. |
