I am in the military, and don't always have the time to scoop the cat box as often as I should... this cuts down the time needed by at least half. No more digging, no more dirty scoop to keep. Just roll, and remove the waste. Make sure that you have hard clumping litter though, it doesn't work too well without it.

I am really liking this. I have an electronic litter box and this one. I am liking this one better because the automatic liter brush tends to break up the clumps meaning I still need to scoop. This one, I don't need to scoop at all.

I just bought this for my cat and it definitely keeps the mess and odor to a minimum. It cuts the cleaning time in half from 8-10 minutes of dumping the litter or sifting through it with a scoop, and spraying the box down- down to only 2 minutes. It's just overall so much better than any of the other litter boxes/litter maid products I've seen. And the price is reasonable.
I wish I had this for my previous cats I've owned.

I just happened to notice this listing, which was evidently put up by an online retailer, but if you check outOmega Paw Self-Cleaning Litter Box, Regular, Green and Beige you'll find a wealth of info, & almost 1000 reviews, with about a 4.5 star average(which is about what I would give it). This product works great, you just need to learn how to use it.

This is by far the best litterbox I have ever found. We have three - a large and two mediums. We have had our boxes for around two years now and have not had any parts break.

We have four cats, a large fluffy tom cat, a medium fluffy girl, a medium slinky haired girl and a 4 month old boy. They all love the box. The regular size is good for a medium size cat. If your cat is bigger, get the large, or they will not be able to turn around easily.

It is true that you sometimes get litter leaking out the side when you roll it. This problem is easily remedied by making sure all the clips that hold the top to the bottom are properly attached before rolling.

Regarding the reviewer who noticed that their cat was getting litter stuck to his fur due to icky bits getting stuck all over the box, you of course have to take the box apart and clean it every few months.

About every two to three months, I take the box apart, scrub every part, spray them with lysol and put fresh, clean litter in it. This is not a box you can use litter liners in, so it falls to you to make sure the box is cleaned well every once in a while.

I would recommend this box to anybody with a multiple cat household. Because of how easy it is to clean the litter I clean the boxes much more often than I did with the scooping method.

If your cat is peeing on the grate, it's time to get him fixed! We have two male cats who were fixed where they were young and squat like girls. Even if you fix your cat when you is older, he will eventually stop marking and will not pee on the sides/grate.

I bought this box thinking it would help with the ease of cleaning it out but i was mistaken. Like others have said, the litter clumps on the grate and i still have to scoop (scrape) clumps off the sides and bottom of the box. I did not have a problem putting it together, nor did i have a problem with litter leaking all out. The space inside is very small for a cat and my cat's body practically hangs entirely out of the box when he uses it. The kitten doesn't have trouble but he is still very small. I have to empty it at least twice a day and it smells.

I bought this thinking it would be a good alternative to the mechanical boxes, but not so. I haven't had the litter leakage that others here have, but when the cats pee on the grate with clumping litter inside, the litter is stuck and clumped on the wrong side, and you have to take the thing apart to get it all out. I too now simply clean the box out with a scoop like a regular litter box. I will be throwing this box out when I move next.

I ended up with three of these litterboxes...from other people who hated them as well. Here's the thing: With the grate in, they're very cramped for even the tiniest cat. Your cat can just deal with it for your convenience? Not so, my friend. Because of the cramped quarters, your cat will inevitably end up defecating or urinating on the grate...which makes the entire "sifting" action of it virtually nil.

So, as it stands, I'm yanking the grate, covering up the drawer hole, and using my reliable old scoop.

Nothing is perfect, but this is the best litter box I've seen. It has tremendously reduced the odor and the stray litter problem I've had. For the mechanically-challenged, assembly may be difficult. First, there are no assembly instructions other than a diagram. The screen goes in first and is snapped into place. Second, the lid snaps onto the base. If needed, use duct tape to seal this junction.
Buy the large litter box unless your cat is very small. Use a scoopable litter that your cats like (probably the same name brand you've been using). Otherwise, your cats may rebel and go potty elsewhere. Use only enough litter so that all of the clean litter goes through the screen---otherwise, you're wasting good litter (but it holds quite a lot).
I had clumping on the side walls with the first litter I tried, but not with my present litter. And yes, the box has to be taken apart and cleaned every month or two. Otherwise, it takes me one minute a day.
I think it's a great litter box and have recommended it to several friends.

We have 2 cats, one is quite petite and the other is large. This size is too small for both. It would be fine for my small cat if only she would TURN AROUND after she gets in. Unfortunately she only did this SOMETIMES... the other times her back end was out the door, so puddles and poo were on the floor! I like the concept, the roll-and-clean feature works great, but it is just too small. It takes up a bit of floor space but inside the business area is very cramped. If your cat is small and gets the concept of actually going all the way in, then turning around to face out before doing her business, this might be fine for you. We are trying the large, hopefully that will solve the problem. Otherwise it's back to the electric Littermaid.
