About the Author

Much has changed since 1976 when I began writing and recording my first hypnosis tape, and since 1979 when I recorded my first subliminal tape. My name is Barrie Konicov. I am the author and voice of Potentials Unlimited products.

I began my hypnosis career in 1976 by conducting group Weight Loss and Stop Smoking classes in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I wanted to extend the benefits of the class once the people had gone home, so I wrote and recorded these two titles to give away to the class participants. Later, I would go on to write and record over 200 titles. My intention was to bring the benefits of hypnosis to every household.

Standing the test of time, my products have become the standard for hypnosis/subliminal products around the world.

Currently, I live in KY while my daughter Stephanie continues the Potentials Unlimited tradition.

I've owned about 4 of Barrie Konicov's "Subliminal Persuasion, Self-Hypnosis" series. So far, all have been helpful. This one is no different; and the relaxation exercises will help you not only with Self-Confidence, but with stress or depression in general. Worthwhile; I only give this 4 stars, because the music on track two (the subliminal section) is fairly well-recorded, but not up to 2011 standards, in that the highs are fairly pronounced, mid-ranges are of average quality, and bass is nearly non-existent. Recording technology has come a long way since the late 70s to early 1980s when the musical portion was likely recorded. That track is appropriate for listening while awake; even safely enough to drive to, since there is no hypnosis guidance on track two (the subliminal section). Track ONE is the Self-Hypnosis track, and should only be used when sitting, or laying down, never for driving an automobile.
Overall, a worthwhile help for anyone desiring a helpful tool for increasing one's Self-Confidence.
