The University of Kentucky Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Miles Osland never fails to please! This recording is no exception! From straight ahead blues to tango to funk, this recording covers a lot of ground. The performers may be from the University, but sound like seasoned professionals. The sax solis are tight, the solos inspired, and the rhythm section lays it down. This is a must have for fans of big band, contemporary jazz, or music in general!
