This is a progressive book which gets to the heart of what is and isn't and helps you to determine who you are and what you want out of life. There is no innuendo, rather all subject matter is point blank, leaving no way out of seeing things how they really are. I recommend this book to anyone who feels the least bit insecure in themselves, or who has doubt in the ways of others. It's a real eye opener, and has lots to offer those who... aren't afraid to open their eyes.

This is a really good self-help book, that could basically be used by anyone, regardless of their particular problem. It is easy to read, it makes sense, and there is no psycho-babble. I am making my teen-age daughters read it. It is really helpful.

I found this book very helpful and helped me make pivotal decisions at a difficult time. I lost track of my original copy but have recently re-purchased it to pass along to my young adult child. Highly recommended!

Dr. Weinberg is one of the great psychologists of the 20th century, along the side of Nathaniel Branden. Self-Creation is a joy. You can verify the truth of his central thesis by simply choosing to change a habit. Any habit. See what you think and feel. Use *that* as the next step in investigating a problem!

I'd like to recommend also the book "Following Through" by Levinson and Greider. Their concern is not with changing one's feelings but rather of following through upon one's best intentions, made in one's sanest moments. My idea is to use the techniques in "Following Through" to read and to act upon Weinberg's work. Most people buy a book and only read the first chapter of it. Even if it's an important book! I would love for folks to buy "Self-Creation" and actually change their lives as a result. Wouldn't that be the closest that you'd find to a miracle?!

Many years ago I read Self Creation and discovered that by controlling the individual actions in my day I could change my thinking too. My own belief system was within my grasp. Over a period of about 5 years I was able to transform my life from one of mediocrity to one of significance. This book, along with the messages from Earl Nightingale and others, helped speed the process of change for me.
The record here shows it being published in 1989. I recall reading it in the mid 1970s. I think it was Avon books who first published it.
St. Martin's Press (my publisher too) has it now.
