Belleruth Naparstek says "His voice is trustworthy and gentle, his virtuoso technique is brilliant and masterful."
I agree. I use several of his programs in rotation. He is a comforting voice, not unlike Mister Rogers, using simple, almost childlike images and stories, over lulling music and ocean waves. Illig uses what's called "Ericksonian hypnosis", a a kind of hypnosis that is gentle, permissive, and respectful of the listener. It's a pleasant, relaxing way to spend a half hour. And I'm seeing results- changes in the way I think about things and react to things, which is the whole point of doing this.
In short, if you've used self- help audio programs before, or even if you never have, Dr Illig's programs are wholeheartedly recommended.
