5.0 out of 5 stars A Horrorcore Classik!
Where to begin? The fusion of metal and rap on this CD is flawless. The opening track (following the intro) really gets you fired up, for the lack of a better term. I was yelling the chorus along with it before I even listened to the whole song once. The guest spots are excellent, especially "Body Bag" w/The Dayton Family. The second half of the album gets...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad...but does not live up to the hype
This is not a bad CD, it just comes off as being plain and lacking. Most of the songs are very generic, I was looking for more. Some of the songs are very good, like "Access Denied" with Tech9, but most are middle of the road. I'm not really into the whole horror movie rap thing, so that was lost on me. Those songs were just boring anyway, slow and...

The second half of the album gets even better. Lost Breath, No Rest For The Wicked, Poison, and Time To Go could all be my favorite tracks (along with Corporate Lies). Everyone has a unique beat with a killer chorus (especially No Rest...). Ultimately, I can't find a fault with the whole album. It's really refreshing after getting off the wicked rap genre for a good 3-4 years. The only drawback I thought was that there weren't many humorous tracks, skits, or segments on the album; that's something I usually find quite refreshing...but realisitically it's not something that would fit in on the album. Self Inflicted is exactly what it claims to be - The Wickedest Record You've heard in some time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Self Inflicted skull crushing., July 21, 2004

I've been a fan of Bedlam for years. I had the chance to see them live and I was just blown away by how INTENSE Prozak and Madness we're. These two have 4 full length LPs as Bedlam. Prozak originally was slated to release "Self Inflicted" under his own name at Wickedstock 4, the release was pushed back and the group was donned Project Deadman, bringing in Mike E. Clark as the producer.

This album is not anything like ICP, its more intense. Overall the tracks themselves are just hard hitting, the vocals are intense. The album is good, very good. I'm definately behind Prozak all the way. He's a badass, plain and simple.

The best tracks have to be Body Bag, with the Dayton Family, which is just a suprisingly fresh track. The second best would have to be Access Denied with Tech N9ne.

I gave this 4 out of 5, just because in my opinion it just isn't as good as the work Prozak did as Bedlam.

This CD is worth having, PDM4L.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have!, August 1, 2004
This review is from: Self Inflicted (Audio CD)
I highly reccomend this CD to anyone who is into underground Hip Hop or wicked rap. Prozak really knows what he is doing and this is deffinetly the most professional thing to come out of the Bedlam camp. If you like Tech N9ne, ICP, Wolfpac, Twiztid, Bedlam, Q Strange, Mars, KGP, or Bedlam you will deffinetly like this CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars PDM, July 14, 2004

I had been looking foward to this cd for awhile. As soon as I heard it I was addicted to it. There is really all kinds of songs on this disc. All of the songs are very entertaining. "THE CROSS BETWEEN STEPHEN KING AND WES CRAVEN" spitting lyrics very dark is exactly what I was looking foward to. The wicked rap I have been looking for was right here because I am far from wicked and at the end of the day this is stuff you can drift away too in your imaganation. Another thing I really love about this group is how they seem to connect with there fans. They are repping the UNDERGROUND. They are not unreachable and the music they make is just for us. The fans of the wicked style. Try it out and support the Project.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mike E Clark = music genius, July 15, 2004

I never have been a fan of Bedlam(Prozak's former group)...as a matter of fact I thought they were an awful excuse for music...but when the better rapper of the group Prozak teamed up with Mike E Clark producer of the 5 best ICP jokers cards, the classic 3 EP's and B/B(which should have been ONE cd)...it works perfectly In my opinion this album blows away ICP's latest jokers card(simply because nobody wants to hear ICP try to sing over cheesy Zug IZland music)...not only is this one of my favorite albums of 2004 within time it might be one of my favorite albums...

5.0 out of 5 stars Mike E Clark And Prozak, August 9, 2006

This review is from: Self Inflicted (Audio CD)
I am a huge fan of Bedlam and basically all the people that Mike E Clark does or has done production for (ICP, Twiztid, Blaze, ABK, Dark Lotus, Esham, AMB, Boondox etc.), so when i heard about this album i just had to have it. This album definately lives up to the expectations that I had for it. People who are giving this album negative reviews because its not like ICP's albums are just straight-up ignorant, as if it's going to be like ICP's music, just because Mike E Clark produces the album. You have to remember that Prozak does the rapping in this album so its going to be a style closer to Bedlam than ICP. Anyways, all the songs on this album are awesome, but my absolute favourite would have to be "Poison". I highly recommend this album to all juggalos and fans of the wicked s**t!
