It took about two hours to go through "Cognitive Test A". There are three sections -- A verbal test, a number test, and a spatial.I was pretty disappointed by the test. Your IQ is determined by multiplying the verbal test score by three, and then adding the number test and spatial test. The math and spatial tests require no special experience or knowledge, but the verbal test requires a fairly strong understanding of vocabulary common in older literature. Per this test, effectively, 60% of your IQ is based on your familiarity with words that you may never have encountered. As a scientist, I was annoyed that this IQ test placed me a full 15 points lower than other IQ tests that I've taken. The heavy dependence on word definitions might be good for stroking an English major's ego, but IQ testing is supposed to avoid "acquired knowledge" and this test unashamedly ignores this rule. As such, this test will not provide an accurate assessment.

Fairly Accurate,

In contrast to the other review here, my result was within 5 points of another developed IQ test, so I consider it accurate.For its price, it's a good place to start. IQ tests are somewhat dubious because high scores do not necessarily correlate to an intelligent person, so keep that in mind. I bought this test out of mere curiosity more than for a reliable score. Actual professional IQ tests can cost over $100 if that gives you an idea of where this ranks.

There are only 2 IQ tests in this booklet but the questions are good and they seem to be the closest thing you are going to get to a monitored test.
