Book Description

American doctor Tara Moore wants to disappear. On the run from an abusive husband, she seeks shelter on a windswept Irish island and dismisses the villagers' speculation that she is descended from a selkie--a magical creature who is bewitching the island. But when a ghostly woman appears to her with a warning, Tara realizes it was more than chance that brought her to this island. Desperate to escape a dark and dangerous past, she struggles against a passionate attraction to handsome islander, Dominic O'Sullivan. But the enchantment of the island soon overpowers her and she falls helpless under its spell. Caught between magic and reality, Tara must find a way to wield both when a dangerous stranger from her past arrives, threatening to destroy the lives of everyone on the island.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Sophie Moss' sweet rendering of relationships are reminiscent of Nora Roberts. If you've enjoyed Nora Roberts' Gallaghers of Ardmore Trilogy or Three Sisters Island Trilogy, I definitely recommend Sophie Moss' paranormal romance series, The Seal Island Trilogy." ~ TopList-BestFictionBooks.com

5.0 out of 5 stars An Enthralling Read! February 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Loved this book! The story was captivating and the characters interesting. The writing is superb. I thought the author handled the delicate issue of domestic abuse very well. It was nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat reading that last quarter of the book. This is one author whose future books I will look forward to reading. Highly recommend! If you like a good romance with some otherworld magic thrown into the mix, then this book will not disappoint.

5.0 out of 5 stars Magical realism romance in Ireland November 10, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I loved this book. Based on the selkie legend of Ireland, it's full of magic. The author obviously spent time in Ireland because the setting and references are completely authentic. The characters are charming, funny, intelligent and there's plenty of romance with lots of sexual tension. The pace is fast so get ready to read it in one sitting and then you'll be wanting the next book from this promising, talented young author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic! December 4, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
What a great first novel for Ms. Sophie Moss. Get swept away to Ireland for a fun story full of romance, adventure, happy endings and myths. I couldn't put it down once I started. The imagery was delightful and the characters full and realistic. Hope there is a series and that other characters in the book like Caitlin and Glenna have their own romances told!
