Whether you're a new Amazon seller or an experieced book scout, you've got to buy this book!, July 15, 2007
I've been selling books online for quite sometime, so I actualy bought this book for my daughter, who's now a stay-at-home mom, having left a fairly powerful corporate job to be at home with her children. So, I can't tell you how surprised I was when I started looking through it and found tips and techniques I had never used, thought of or heard of from other sellers. The author also embedded a tremendous amount of information in stories, and profiles of different sellers and their business models. It really made the book enjoyable, even though I tend to dislike nonfiction. It read like "Rich Dad Poor Dad" but had both step-by-step instructions, for people just getting started, and ideas for people like me who already have businesses but want ideas for making more money and finding more high-dollar books. She spent more time than any of the other authors I've read helping the reader recognize and find high-dollar books. She even gave tiles of books, under all the different categories (including VHS tapes, cassettes, and Cd's), to help with name recognition and even the names of series that are worth a lot of money. I really didn't know a lot about finding these high dollar older technical books, that I usually pass buy, but she taught me how to recognize the good ones and market them to sell. I like her model of selling a low-quantity of high-dollar books, but she gave very careful instructions on high-volume selling of books with a lower sales rank, that are easy to find. I also was impressed with her chart that showed how her business evolved as she improved it with different techniques. So she backed up everything she said in a cahrt that was worth a thousand words. I learned a lot and expect to start making more money, but when I give it to my daughter, she can use all the sample confirmation letters and letters for getting negative feedback removed etc, so she'll have a jump start on her business that I didn't have. I was really inspired, and motivated about improving my inventory and sales, making more in less time, and developing a long term plan. Overall I can't beleive she covered so much information in such an interesting, witty, storyteller's style. I think you'll be really surprised--it's like no other book I've found on the subject--with quite a unique vantage point. The only mistake I think she made is to limit her sales to stay-at-home moms with the title, when it's definately for anyone, new or established in the business.

An extremely helpful and motiviating tool for my business!, September 10, 2007
I've only been in the business of selling book for several months. I've learned quite a bit through trial and error, mostly by my mistakes. If only I had known of this book before I began. It would have saved me much time and even more money. I loved the author's humorous style of writing and vast knowledge of the book selling business. It was because of this book that my business has escalated more than I ever thought possible. And she's right--there ARE enough books to go around for everyone. I've been so frustrated by trying to learn more information for my business. The forum on Amazon is not that helpful, because so many view anyone as the competition and thereby off limits to enlighten them. Many thanks to the author for her generous, informative help for the rest of us.

Okay Info for beginers, August 27, 2008
I have been selling books on Amazon for several months now and was looking for a book that could give me a little more expertise and tips on how to be more effective at buying and selling books. I found this book to be mostly information I have read many times before in other places, with very little new useful info for anyone who has been selling for more than a few months. This book has some good information for new book sellers, but you can get 99% of this info by reading the Amazon.com guidelines on selling and reading Michael E. Moulds' blog, both of which are free. If you don't want to spend 30 minutes on Google to get this information for yourself, then this is the book for you. If not, don't waste your money.
