These are the best mats. I bought this mat for my 4 month old since we don't have carpet in the living room. This gave her a nice place to lie on her tummy and play with her toys. I almost bought a set at a local warehouse club, but decided to wait and search around online. I am so glad I did. These are twice as thick and durable as the one at the warehouse club, and cost the same amount. The colors are very bright, and will be help to teach my daughter colors when she gets a little older. They stay in place well and are easy to clean. I also bought a set for my mom's house for when we go to visit her.

I put these on the linoleum floor in my finished basement and made a great play area for my 10 month old. The texture on them helps with his crawling, and the foam helps when he loses his balance and bumps his head. Wonderfully bright colors and easy to surface clean! Also these had NO rubbery or chemical smell even when they were brand new. Highly recommended!

Great purchase. Nice thick mats with vivid colors. Bought instead of alphabet/letter mats because these are large and don't invite being pulled apart; less to do at pick up time. In daughter's play area since she was 1 year old, and she is almost 2. Have two large dogs and handles traffic well. Would highly recommend.

These mats were a bit thiner and flimsier than I was expecting. The parts with borders are actually just a really small piece that was put back in after they cut the part where the mat connects. In the past I have bought borders for other mats and they were much more substantial. It works for the purpose I bought it for which was for under my daughters play yard. If I had to do it again I would probably buy the Step 2 mats again they were much thicker and would have worked better.

We have hardwood floors in all our living areas so we bought two sets of these to create a 8x6 play area for our twins. We got them when they were 6 months old and started rolling around. Now at 14 months old, they are still in good shape.

They are very cushioned and feel great to walk on... or bang your head as the case may be.

They don't take them apart as much as I thought they would because they grew up with it as their mat. They do pull the borders off all the time, but it's not a big deal. They have chewed on the borders a lot, but it never shows the signs. I actually stopped taking it out of their mouths when I realized it didn't damage them.

They clean up very easily with a dry or wet rag.

We bought a few of these for our different play areas. We started using this mat when our daughter turned 5 months old. It's easy to clean and provides a nice layer of comfortable paddding for her, especially as she started to crawl around a lot. We also used it over our long fiber (fluffy) carpeting so our baby would not get to the fibers on the carpeting.

I really love this mat and even bought another one. My son can run and I feel comfortable that he is protected when he falls down (he is 15 months old). The only one thing..price of shipping, it is disappointing, it is overpriced.

We bought two sets of these mats and have left them at the grandparents house. They work really good to put down when our son wants to get down on the floor and play. He has bumped his head on them a few times but gets right back up. The education value is ok just for color but nothing more. The edges not sure how well they will hold on over time but not a big problem. Overall a great product!

These are really nice mats! They are each 2 ft by 2 ft and stay together really well. These are much nicer than the smaller squares, especially the ones with the letters and shapes that come apart. The mats are a good thickness too. I have them on concrete floors and the little ones fall on them all the time with no tears! They are easy to clean and very durable. I like that the colors are all pretty but not overpowering. The edges have held up nicely so far and don't come unattached easily. Overall these are great mats and I will be purchasing more for my in-home daycare!

Very nice, love the size, looks durable enough, feels good to lay down and play with my daughter. We are loving it.
