Having downloaded this excellent book onto Kindle for PC, I have found it to be concise, clear and covers essential areas to be adressed in order to maximise sales. In particular, I found the section on self-publishing via Lighting Source illuminating. Thank you Dana for an excellent guide.

I read lots of how-tos on book promotion. I usually figure that I'll just get a little review on something I'm already doing and maybe a nudge to do something I've been putting off.
Because I talk about how important Amazon is in my The Frugal Book Promoter: How To Do What Your Publisher Won't, I didn't expect to learn a lot from this Savvy Marketer book. But Amazon changes names, changes links, adds new ideas, and strays from old features s-o-o-o fast, I figured it was time for an update. I was right. I learned a few things I didn't know before and it didn't take me three days to plough through material I couldn't use anyway. It's wonderful when an author knows what will be useful, what is just chafe. Hooray for Dana!

Most authors love to write but hate to market. Some may even fear marketing their book. If that's you, then "How to Sell More Books on Amazon" is an answered prayer. The author takes you on a journey that will teach you what you need to know if you have books listed on Amazon. And this guide is more than a list of ideas to get you going. It's a step-by-step instruction manual with easy to follow advice, that will leave even the most technophobic author empowered to harness the marketing machine found in Amazon.
The strength of "How to Sell More Books on Amazon" is that the author gives you what you need to know about selling a book on Amazon while leaving room for each author to create their own plan of attack. Tips are scattered throughout the book to draw your attention to important things you need to know about Amazon. And when you are through, you'll have the knowledge you need to make sure your book is taking advantage of everything that Amazon has to offer. Amazon is a big place with lots of lessons that authors need to learn. This book is the perfect guide to get you started on your journey to learn "How to Sell More Books on Amazon." I loved it!

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

There is a saying in the publishing business: "It takes a certain intelligence to WRITE a book, but it takes a genius to SELL that book!"
Believe me, it's true. So those of selling ebooks need all the help we can get, and this short book provides that. If the book seller takes the time to follow-up on, and perform the steps suggested here, he or she will take positive steps on that path to selling books. If you're going to take the time, pain and effort to write a book, you might as well invest the time, pain and effort it takes to get that book into the hands of readers. However, this book got me into a bit of a jam with Amazon. For example, the author suggests writing book reviews here on Amazon, like I am doing right now. She then suggests you work in a plug for your own book. Maybe it was just me, but I was led to believe that this meant I could put in a link for my own book here in this review: Not so, Amazon warned me in an email. After writing more than 20 reviews, and linking my own books in each review, Amazon sent me an email telling me this violated its policy. I'm not sure Smith makes this crystal clear -- at least it was not clear to me. So this is an okay book, will help you sell more books, but be careful. You might get in trouble.

Superb Guide on Maximizing Amazon Book Sales,

This ebook is a must for anyone selling books or ebooks on Amazon or any other online bookstore! In "How to Sell More Books on Amazon," Dana Lynn Smith offers both newbie and established authors all the information they need to successfully sell their books on Amazon. Not only that, in typical Savvy Book Marketer manner she provides an enormous amount of detail on how to get your book noticed, attract customers, sell in alternative formats and venues, and increase your profits. I found the information on pricing and on the Amazon Marketplace particularly interesting. However, I read chapter 1, "Improve the Sales Appeal of Your Book Listing on Amazon," and chapter 2 carefully; they offer essential advice on how to ensure a book doesn't get lost amongst the thousands of others in the Amazon bookstore.
Smith always succeeds in producing easily-digestable comprehensive books, and this one does not fail to produce. I was able to read it in one quick sitting during which I also explored her links. Plus, the additional articles and reports to which she referred provided valuable information. I plan on keeping this book handy for my own use and to recommend it to all my clients--aspiring and established authors. No one can go wrong with a book or ebook from Dana Lynn Smith.

This review is from: How to Sell More Books on Amazon (Kindle Edition)
"Ah, only 39 pages. I can zip right through this little ebook," I said to myself. I was wrong! So, wrong. There is so much information, so many links and activities to be done to fully utilize the wealth contained in this ebook that it took me three weeks to get through it. That's because I stopped reading in order to write reviews for about ten products I had purchased over the holidays. I also created a Listmania® List. And, yes, I plan to make a "So You'd Like To" guide. Now that I've increased my books visibility, I am sure to draw more people to my book page. From tips to improving the sales appeal of your book listing to strategies for attracting five-star reviews, this manual is one you will resort to again and again. Thanks to the information in this ebook, I set up one of my books for the Kindle Reader, and I have all my books participating in Amazon's "Look Inside" program. Additionally, I am using my author page, personal profile, product tags, and affiliate program to drive more traffic to my books. I'm even using the Amazon Marketplace to sell some of the books I have stored in my closet! I was surprised to see material about publishing and printing your book, proving that Dana Lynn Smith is truly an author's advocate as well as a book marketing expert. She provides direct links to specific places on Amazon.com, such as the editorial reviews section to change a book's description and the form to submit a book cover, making it easy to find things I've had to search and search for in the past. This author has done her homework and she knows what she is talking about when it comes to book marketing and what it takes to sell a book online. She has undoubtedly spent hours researching every aspect, nook, and hidden cranny on Amazon.com to be able to present this comprehensive, yet easy-to-use ebook to authors who want to sell more books on Amazon.com, the world's leading online bookseller. I highly recommend this book to all authors, who need clear direction to understanding how the system works and getting the most from their marketing efforts on Amazon.

Practical helpful advice that actually works,
By
This review is from: How to Sell More Books on Amazon (Kindle Edition)
How to Sell More Books on Amazon includes page after page of information that works and that authors can easily and immediately put into action.
The book is appropriately titled. It is a how-to book. The author details each aspect of Amazon marketing and gives a link to take you to the online page where you can implement that advice. But, this book is far more than "click this, do that." You'll also learn why a particular action helps you sell more books. And, because it's all about selling on Amazon, it covers explicit tips on special Kindle features for making the most of your e-book marketing. There are multiple ways to increase your presence on Amazon, as well as many ways to sell your book. You'll find all of them explained plus tips, advice, and examples of how to make the most of each opportunity. One chapter details how to increase your profits through a variety of means, including changing the way you supply books to Amazon. This topic is very important and is often overlooked in other books about selling on Amazon. There's also a checklist that can serve as a worksheet for developing your strategy and is a nice wrap up of what's covered. There are many sections on Amazon and many of those links and pages can be hard to find. In fact, the whole process can seem overwhelming if you don't have a guide. This book takes you step-by-step in a concise, methodical way through the process that will lead to your success. If you are an author and want to sell a lot of books, then How to Sell More Books on Amazon is a must-read. You will not find a more comprehensive guide of what you can easily do to contribute directly to your goal of selling books.
