ENHANCE YOUR CHANCES OF GETTING YOUR NOVEL PUBLISHED WITH THIS ONE-OF-A-KIND GUIDE
Writers often spend years perfecting their first novel—then hit a dead end when it comes to getting it published. Learning to market your novel will make it stand out from the thousands of other books clamoring for the attention of an ever shrinking number of publishers.
In this book, Elizabeth Lyon offers the wisdom of more than twenty years of experience as an author, book editor, writing instructor, and marketing consultant. Step-by-step, she details what editors want, what questions to ask them, and how to develop a marketing strategy. You will learn:
· How to categorize your novel, and the sixteen ways of describing it
· Nine ways of selling your novel
· Descriptions of the jobs of literary agent, editor, and writer
· Examples of actual story synopses, and successful query letters—in all the genres
· How to prepare sample chapters
· Thirty questions a writer needs to ask a prospective agent

Excellent Resource To Begin Marketing a Novel , July 10, 2006
This review is from: The Sell Your Novel Tool kit (Paperback)
It's very hard to complete a novel, and after you complete it and begin to think about how to get it published can become overwhelming. That one page query letter that agents and publishers read and judge your writing ability on is an education in itself. This book will help you craft that all-important letter.

A well-stocked toolkit! , June 18, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Sell Your Novel Tool kit (Paperback)
I dug into the "Sell Your Novel Toolkit" right away, pulling out information I needed immediately, then went back and read the entire book beginning to end. Ms. Lyon has done a superb job of packing all the tools a novel writer could need into her beautifully written "Toolkit." It's been my guide through each step of marketing my fiction. The amount of research packed into the appendices alone is worth the cost of the book.

This book is an author's roadmap to success .... , July 11, 2003
This review is from: The Sell Your Novel Tool kit (Paperback)
Elizabeth Lyon's new book, Sell Your Novel Toolkit, provides a detailed roadmap for producing a well qualified query letter, synopsis and tips to manage that all important marketing strategy.
Ms. Lyon's Toolkit is written from the perspective of an accomplished, well-seasoned author who has experienced it all and learned from her own writing successes. Ms. Lyon's product is not only functional, but encouraging to the author who is already established, or entering the publishing environment for the first time.
The Toolkit has enhanced my abilities as a newly published author and I look forward to the next book.
