Book Description

November 30, 2011
Life is getting harder for the American middle class. People are working longer hours and have less and less to show for their efforts. Did this just 'happen', or is there something more sinister at work? This is not a work of fiction, but the real story of the dismantling of the American dream. All is not as it seems. The same voices that claim to support and defend the middle class are systematically destroying it. 'Selling America Short' exposes the real reasons behind America's decline - and how to put a stop to it. Author Ed Ponsi pulls no punches, naming names and exposing the motivations of those who are killing the American dream. This is not a conspiracy theory. This is a collection of indisputable facts and hard evidence that weaves a fascinating tale that is stranger than fiction - and more terrifying than any horror story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scary, but true! February 22, 2012

This book was a really quick read, but a really good one. I particularly liked the interviews with the hyperinflation survivors. It gave me a good picture of how to hedge myself against a possible collapse here in the US. I wish this were a work of fiction, but sadly, it's all true.

I also especially loved the numerous quotes throughout the book, I did a LOT of highlighting! GREAT read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Saving the Middle Class December 9, 2011
Format:Paperback
This was totally different than what I expected, it's not a gloom and doom conspiracy book, instead the author basically accuses U.S. policymakers of being buffoons and then builds a very strong case to support this. It is a non-partisan book, slams Republicans and Democrats with equal vigor and lays out possible solutions for the current crisis. Well thought out with more than a dash of humor, the book lays waste to stereotypes, and brings home the point that actions taken in the name of helping the middle class are actually destroying it. I expect this to be a big hit with the tea party crowd, maybe with the occupy crowd too. The interviews were the best part, author speaks with people who lived through hell because of government foolishness, and those parts are priceless. Also enjoyed his take on how the average person is basically conned by a system that can only make things worse, not better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book! December 10, 2011
Format:Paperback
This author wrote some really good books on trading, I was kind of surprised to hear that this book was not about trading but at a seminar I attended he said that he had written all he cared to write about that topic, and he considered this book more important. I knew he was a good writer but had no idea, this book is marvelous, do yourself a favor and pick it up. I came away from this really upset about things I didn't know were going on right under my nose, it ticked me off! The book contains real solutions, it really is to educate Americans and prevent them from being scammed by the government and the federal reserve. If you care about your freedom please read it and pass it on!
