I'm a huge Ed Ponsi fan. I even took a forex currency trading course from him. The guy knows how to trade and he knows what makes the world tick. I've read his other books many times and have benefited from his experience.

Sure, it shows how crappy things are in the time it was written. However, what he has to say is not only really a sad statement of how things have come to the point they have in America, but what the consequences of continuing along that road could be.

It's a wake up call to each of us to be really, really careful about the way that we cast our political votes. America can be a super military power, but if we ignore the financial underpinnings that keep everything flowing and for those folks most responsible for keeping the economy strong, the Middle Class, then his predictions will become fact.

It's up to us. He's just telling it like he sees it. And if you're a trader, you know that's how he teaches trading. If you trade against him, you're going to lose. So don't discount what he's saying in this book.

This book was a really quick read, but a really good one. I particularly liked the interviews with the hyperinflation survivors. It gave me a good picture of how to hedge myself against a possible collapse here in the US. I wish this were a work of fiction, but sadly, it's all true.

I also especially loved the numerous quotes throughout the book, I did a LOT of highlighting! GREAT read!

This was totally different than what I expected, it's not a gloom and doom conspiracy book, instead the author basically accuses U.S. policymakers of being buffoons and then builds a very strong case to support this. It is a non-partisan book, slams Republicans and Democrats with equal vigor and lays out possible solutions for the current crisis. Well thought out with more than a dash of humor, the book lays waste to stereotypes, and brings home the point that actions taken in the name of helping the middle class are actually destroying it. I expect this to be a big hit with the tea party crowd, maybe with the occupy crowd too. The interviews were the best part, author speaks with people who lived through hell because of government foolishness, and those parts are priceless. Also enjoyed his take on how the average person is basically conned by a system that can only make things worse, not better.

This author wrote some really good books on trading, I was kind of surprised to hear that this book was not about trading but at a seminar I attended he said that he had written all he cared to write about that topic, and he considered this book more important. I knew he was a good writer but had no idea, this book is marvelous, do yourself a favor and pick it up. I came away from this really upset about things I didn't know were going on right under my nose, it ticked me off! The book contains real solutions, it really is to educate Americans and prevent them from being scammed by the government and the federal reserve. If you care about your freedom please read it and pass it on!
