Book Description

Selling online has always been a great way to earn extra money, but it can be challenging trying to juggle an online business, a full time job and a family.

How can a working mom, dad or student:

• Find the right products to sell?
• Photograph and create listings for inventory items?
• Pack and ship products multiple times a week?
• Keep track of it all?

The answer is simple – Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA).

FBA has changed the game for so many sellers, and the opportunity is huge. Now you can leverage the awesome power of Amazon to stock, sell and ship your inventory as it sells.

No photography studio. No warehouses. No loading dock. No frequent trips to the post office.

Just purchase your inventory, tag it and ship it to one of the many Amazon warehouse across the country. Your products are then listed for sale in front of 244 million eyeballs on the world’s largest ecommerce platform.

So what can you sell?

The products are literally all around you. Best of all, you can find hundreds of profitable products in the stores you already shop in every week. Everything from home improvement to department stores, and even your local grocery store.

In fact, the grocery store is the perfect place to start your Amazon business:

• Inventory is inexpensive and plentiful
• Most families shop there multiple times a week
• Groceries are consumables that customers buy again and again
• Coupons and store promotions allow you to significantly reduce costs

This is the perfect family business, as members of all ages can help with everything from product sourcing to packing and shipping.

This guide is over 100 pages, and here is a just a sampling of what you will learn:

• How to setup a new seller account
• How to apply and get approved to sell in the grocery category (it’s now “gated”)
• Where and how to source your inventory
• The best way to ship your products to Amazon
• Monitoring your inventory and sales
• Expanding your business to new areas like private labeling

Why spin your wheels searching endlessly online when you can get this inexpensive guide that covers all the topics you need to hit the ground running with FBA?

Hope to see you on the inside…

As always with Amazon, it already needs updating. This book suggests that if you get distributed placement on an ASIN, you can leave the less desirable warehouse shipment open until you can fill it with additional items. **THIS IS NO LONGER TRUE**. Amazon just changed the rules to be stricter. There has always been a requirement that all shipments in a shipping plan must be received at the wh within 7 days of each other. It's rarely been enforced. Amazon plans to start enforcing, and they are playing hardball. You can now only cancel ALL shipments in a plan, not selectively. There are stricter +/- adjustment abilities. And there are stiffer penalties if all shipments aren't received within the requisite 7 days. This was a great little book on how to sell groceries on Amazon for anyone beginning to sell in this category. He tells you how to get approval, what to do while you're waiting (sell in other categories!) and where to source as well as tips on shipping and checking your inventory and how to deal with certain issues that may arise.

Ideally, I had hoped that the author would go into more detail of wholesale sources and other little-known secrets. But he just glazed the surface. Mostly he talked about local stores and their online counterparts. He also just touches on bundling products, which many other sellers claim is their biggest profit margin.

I liked how the author did a nice segue from each proceeding chapter. It was well written other than some typos and grammatical errors that a good proofreader or editor would catch, so I'd advise the author to hire one and update with a revision. Perhaps at that time he could delve into the wholesale sources a little more.

All-in-all, a good little book. I hope to see more from the author and plan to visit his website to sign up for other offers as well as keep any eye out for any potential Amazon seller software he produces.
