Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I order a lot of books from Amazon.com and usually get a certain amount of information from each. But this book "Selling Online" by Patrick Leo covered more of the needed information than five other books I'd read put together. Praise for this book is intended -- everything he tells you to do works! He covers topics starting from square one so you really understand the basics before moving on. Also he shows several ways of doing just about everything being taught; his suggested options make the information useful for anybody who wants to sell online. An added bonus, at the end of the book are References, Websites, and Contact Information for everything you will need to start a Home-Based Business. My final comment is that the book works ****** I am "Selling Sucessfully Online".

Wow, I am so glad I came across this book.

The author is very detailed and he walks you through everything you need to know in order to be successful with one's home based online business.

Everything from where to get good deals on things to sell, sites to sell your items from and how they work, where to get packing material, defining your business type and how to register it. Taxes.... This author appears to touch on any question one would have or did not think to ask in order to get started and be successful.

Highly recommend this book!

This book is great for anyone interested in selling online. It is a short book, but full of tips to help one get started. I am very glad that I got this book. Some books will overwhelm an individual with too much information. This one went straight to the point. It was a easy read.

I had a huge library of books and no on-line selling experience. This book gave me all the info I needed to start selling on Amazon and work my way up to EBay. The most helpful advise is what shipping supplies to stock in the beginning and what sells. Customer service is very important.

Turns out most books have little value on Amazon. Look up most fiction, and you will find power sellers listing books for less than $1 these days. The average person will lose money and time dealing with cheap transactions. The books are worth more as tax deductions! I had great success unloading my big artsy out of print books for bookseller prices. The author tells you how to scour library sales and such looking for these types of books. You will have a lot of competition if you try to make a living this way. I was content to get rid of my high quality books at good prices. Most of my fiction wasn't worth the hassle.

Thanks to this book I was able to handle shipping, inventory and customer service with no trouble. The author was right on the nose about feedback - unlike EBay, you are lucky if 1 in 10 customers leave feedback without some prompting. Good customer service is a must. This book tells you how to handle a variety of situations.

Selling on Amazon is pretty easy and I was soon taking pictures and listing on EBay. I would highly recommend this book for beginners.
