Like an idiot I left my horn leaning somewhere and my old, old Selmer mouthpiece got chipped. No use thinking too hard about it, the only thing to do was to get another. The C* is the classic warm horn mouthpiece for the soprano. Not "duck-like" if you know what I mean. And it's about as easy on the mouth as these punishing little beasts get. (In my heyday I gigged an Otto Link Metal 8*, which still digs in, but plays havoc with my oral health.)

No matter what style you're aiming for, this is either the only piece you need, or at least one of two you keep in the case.
