Vond is the metal star "Mortiis"'s alter-ego. This album, made in a time before his mainstream transition was, apparently, banned in several countries due to its suicide-inducing depressing nature.

However, I own this CD. It is so amazingly beautiful, that even the most hardened people would crack a little and look deep inside at themselves and their lives.

Nar Livet Tar Farvel, the first track, combines smooth wind instruments with a somber, depressing violin, as well as a low, cello sounding baseline.

I'd recommend this to anyone that has an open mind about music. To me, this is one of the most beautiful CDs I've ever heard.

Buy it. Now.

This album is truly beautiful. It is only four tracks, and can be a little repetitive at times, but the atmospherical approach of Mortiis' (Vond) album is just outstanding. Light up a black candle, lay on your bed, and just close your eyes. This is a great album if you want to see Mortiis in a budding form of himself as a solo musician. Mortiis overall is a very inspiring artist. Very considered to buy all of his albums from all three of his eras. Amazing works indeed.
