This virtuoso duo are old friends, who always seem to bring out the best in each other. Feed this gifted pair the exquisite songs of Jobim and it is little surprise that we receive very fresh arrangements for guitar and voice. After so many tired renditions over the years, it is a true gift to hear these new interpretations. Free of the overdone orchestrations that so often plagued these works, elegant performances full of love and respect for the master Jobim.
The only sadness to this release, is it's inexplicable low profile in the music world. It is the public's loss, don't let it be yours. Order one immediately. Worth every penny.
